Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

I need to read things more carefully. I see now that using option 2 requires the outlet still going to the reservoir... and I was asking if it should be plugged. I need option 1 for the one valve and option 2 for the other. Now let's hope the supplier can get both.

Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

I understand that but just trying to point out that all the valves, as is, are closed or as you say oil would be flowing back to the tank all the time when nothing is activated. I'm just showing how it is now. So, wouldn't both "CC" plugs need to be replaced by something? Or a different...

And besides that it looks as if you can only buy rods for 10 spools. Yes K5lwq, the mill I have is similar but has more features including an edger maybe? I'm wondering about the yellow cord/line/hose/tube going to the carriage. Or maybe it's blade lub or air?Could that have something to do...

Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

950deerehunter has an interesting idea but even if it would work it would be an enormous task because of how the valves attach to the saw. Do I have it straight now. I have to use the down port because both valves can't be made strictly open circuit? The part 660280001 will replace the "CC"...

Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

Please allow me to not include which of you made a suggestion or comment recently. I'm having enough trouble recalling. Yes, Woodland that went out of business years ago. Not the present Woodland that manufactures mills. Only one controlled function needed at one time. The engine drives the...

Hey, I'll take any advice and welcome it. Please someone try to explain to me the difference between a relief valve between the pump and say a stacked spool valve and the relief valve that is a part of the stacked spool valve (maybe wrong term)? They don't do the exact same thing?

Once again, please let me thank everyone for their input. In this case however the blade speed is directly proportional to the diesel engine speed and that can't be changed at random. There is something mechanical (cylinder activated) that moves the blade away from the log and idles the engine...

Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

I feel I haven't been clear enough about one thing. When I bought the mill there were two hoses hanging out the end. I assume one went to a pump(s) of some sort. And the other one went to a reservoir I'd assume. The hose from the pump branched off to all three valves (three elbows) at once...

Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

:) I must admit this is very confusing to me right now guys. I did look at the ends of both valves banks. Six spool "SVE22 Power Beyond Outlet w/ #8 SAE Beyond Port #10 SAE ORB (7/8-14 THD" and The nine spool valve with SVE21 "SVE21 Open Center Outlet w/ Conversion Plug #10 SAE ORB (7/8-14...

Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

Update. The end plate on the six spool valve bank has SVE22 which the doc oldnslo referenced says is "SVE22 Power Beyond Outlet w/ #8 SAE Beyond Port #10 SAE ORB (7/8-14 THD" Does power beyond imply open??? The nine spool valve has SVE21 "SVE21 Open Center Outlet w/ Conversion Plug #10 SAE...

Really, I do appreciate all suggestions but I haven't tried many . One thing I did figure out this morning however is that the controls are indeed made by Prince. SVW1BA1 "parallel circuit construction" Hmmm.

Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

Gosh, thank you. Great examples. Unless you or someone else thinks I'm way off base I should be trying for what's in figure 2-4? Only I don't have a separate relief valve now. What's confusing me a little/lot is the separate relief valve when there is also mention of adjusting the relief...

Wonder if carriage position motor control could be move here? Connecting the two valve stacks would be quite easy. But then I still don't understand the relief thing. If pressure builds up too much the relief allows fluid to flow though the valve stack to the tank... even as something is...

I see there have been posts I haven't seen. Someone asked I think if I had some sort of program maybe. I don't... whatever it was. I can't seem to find that post.

Hydraulic Pump Noise... but not always.

A lot for me to digest from you guys. Let me say this right now. When this mill was manufactured I'm guessing a gear pump was used and mounted somewhere on the "carriage" and driven by the Kubota engine that's there now. Remember I'm guessing a little here. Later someone changed things and...
