Thank you ultrarunner, I am in new zealand and we don't have a problem with oak pollen. It is mainly grass pollen and privit.

Oak trees and allergies??? First I have heard of it. What sort of Oak? Privit on the other hand is the first thing a doctor will ask about with allergy problems.

100ish HP, powershift or CVT used recs

Some things to consider. Haydude is right about CVT, and is a better option for your knees. CVT or full power shuttle( no clutch). CVT : find out which have EXTERNAL solinoids. EG JD 20 series IVT has INternal solinoids. 10 years ago it was $6500 to change a $250.00 part.(you had to lift the...

    Is my problem solved?

Had chronic back pain from an injury for 22 years. Physio only worked for 2-4 hours. Saw a chiropractor advert. Tried it as had nothing to loose. Over 10 weeks he straighted my spine so I no longer hurt. No pain felt strange after 22 years. Only took a couple of weeks to get used to NO PAIN...

Massey Ferguson MF135 Multipower Transmission Oil Change

For those of you who have done all the above and STILL have poor multipower performance and are going to split the tractor, look at the NOSECONE. This had worn out on my 135 and MIMICED PERFECTLY a "worn multipower". It fooled the 2 MF mechanics to, 30 and 15 years respectively. The whole...

Help! Tractor bounces with implement raised.

Double check the draught control knob position. I had a similar problem on a JD, and the problem was to do with the draught control. This was a long time ago so I don't recall details.

    ugghhh .... more advice needed!

Southernspeed, in silage foxtail/barley grass is good cattle feed, including the seed. The ensiling process kills the seed and softens it ,so no problems. In hay it is bad news. Also ,my comment in post 41, the 2nd 1/2 applied to standing grass, not silage .

Thank you Southernspeed. In my country we call foxtail barley grass. Putting it into silage kills the seed. It is nasty stuff, gets into animals eyes and blinds them, and in sheep it will go through the wool and into the skin. When the animal is skinned you can feel the sharp points on the...

    Downsizing

Instead of buying a smaller tractor would a 3ph quickhitch and setup the attatchments be a better and cheaper option for him?

Captain Dirty, your explaination makes excellent sence. The video clearly shows the ship going backwards into the bridge, which baffled me. Being lit up like the proverbial christmas tree made me think the ship should have been moored.

Does foxtail grass appear similar to barley?

Is it too late to wrap the wet hay and make balage out of it? It is only going mouldy becuse air can get at it. Wrapping will seal the air out and allow fermentation to make balage (Balage is too wet for hay and to dry for proper silage).

    55-60 HP CHOICES

Height wise, ask the dealer if there is a small tyre option. What kind of floor is your shed,ie is it dirt or gravel? If so can you lower the floor to fit a taller tractor? Is the shed a lean too of another shed? If so is it practical to raise the lean too to fit the tractor? Hydraulics: Ask...
