I am really a Kioti Owner

I can proudly say now, after four years of payments that I own a Kioti tractor. After a month or so, I started having monthly payment withdrawal symptoms. Rather than to succumb to buying a bigger Kioti tractor which I really don't need, I settled on a new Ural motorcycle. Now I am safely...

    Midwest Brand Implements

Does anyone have the Midwest Brand Rotary Mower. It looks really heavy duty compared to the TSC and Rural King brands, and is only $200 more. It weighs in at a 1000 lbs, compared to 700 for the TSC mower. The TSC mower is a King Kutter, and the Rural King is a Farm Pro.

    Buying Used Equipment at Auction

I am planning on going to the Fall Consignment Farm and Construction Auction on Saturday in Lawerenceville, IL. I am looking for a used rotary cutter to replace one I destroyed, while crushing rocks and hidden tire rims in my neighbors pasture. What do I look for in a rotary mower? All I can...

    Side Dressing Sweet Corn

While the weather is cold and I have the time, I would like to build something to lay a line of fertilizer by the corn in a line, one row at a time. I can use either my tractor or atv to do it. I don't want to spread fertilizer, I did that last year and grew the biggest healthiest weeds you...

    Homier Implements

I saw a cultivator on their website for $139.00. Does anyone have one? Does it hold up OK, or is it junk?

    Cash Dash

If you haven't heard of this, every state treasurer has unclaimed property they keep for a number of years, while trying to get you to claim it. They post notices in a number of ways, local papers, etc. In my military career I have moved a number of times and was stationed in Illinois several...

    Strange Machine

Can anyone identify this machine? I saw it on an internet site, but it was not identified.

Seed Plates For Allis Chalmers Corn Planter

I picked up a one row Allis Chalmers corn planter off of ebay that was made from a large many row planter. It works just great. I only have seed plates for seeds from corn to as small as milo. I am looking for seed plates for small seeds, like carrots, mustard greens, etc. Where can I get...

    Overriding Couplers and Slip Clutches

After just replacing power take off bearings in my tractor for hitting a rock which stopped my tiller, I started looking for something that would prevent this ever happening again. I see both clutches and couplers on sale at TSC, but I don't know how they work or how to attach them or which one...

    Planting Corn, Peas, and Milo

I just bought an old 1 row planter on Ebay and used it for the first time this week. This is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I planted corn, peas, and milo with it. I can't wait to plant some more.

    They Took My Kioti Away

Last night my Kioti dealer picked up my broken Kioti and hauled it to the shop. I broke something in the power takeoff, because it makes terrible grinding noises when the tractor is running. I don't know the extent of the damage yet but think my mastercard will be melting soon. The warranty...

    Living In The Country

This morning, before I let the chickens and guineas out for the day, I had a knock at the door. Strange for such an early hour, and my wife and i still in robes and slippers, I found a young man at the door, asking if we could pull his car out of the mud. He explained he was out there all...

    Broken PTO Shaft

I snapped the PTO shaft on my rotory cutter right where it goes into the head near the gearbox. Can it be welded, or is it time to go to the parts store.

Extending the Length of Your Tractor

I added a toothbar to my bucket, and it sure works sweet for picking up brush and such. However, when not being used, it is still sticking out 4 or 5 inches from the bucket. I was mowing around the poultry brooder house yesterday and made a turn near the brooder. You guessed it, the toothbar...
