Long term planning of selling your home?

Generational transfers is really the only way home "ownership" is returning on investment if one has a thirty year mortgage.

    Good morning!!!!

52 outside this AM, grey, and raining. Next ten days looks to be about the same according to the people who attempt to predict weather. No loose horse this AM. Fence showed no sign of where she got out yesterday. And the electric is good. Luckly there is enough to keep all the animals...

Long term planning of selling your home?

LOL. Unless your a dumbass like me and purchase a money pit that used to be a dairy farm and sink 20 years and a few hundred k into "renovation". No worries here about capital gains or selling if that time comes. There are enough bad memories to out number the good. LOL.

Can a Zero Turn mow high weeds in a bumpy pasture?

The time you spend trying to beat down 5 foot weeds with a ZTR would have been better spent on the tractor. Maybe don't let it get that high to begin with and then use the ZTR, after attempting to smooth the rough spots with the tractor.

    Good morning!!!!

60 outside this Am, heading to upper 70's. Had to go round up a loose horse this AM. Not a fun way to start the weekend. Looks like fence work will be the order of the day. Hope all have a great start to the weekend. Be safe.

    Good morning!!!!

55 outside right now. Low fog banks over pastures. Barely see the horses grazing in spots. Should reach into the upper 80's today. Yesterday was pasture cutting time. Rescued SO from getting stick in mud. Showed her the FEL trick to unstick. More weed whacking on tap for today. Also, one more...

    Good morning!!!!

Ahhhh... productive day. The SO broke out her tractor and started cutting the back eight acre pasture. I washed up the reclaimed barn wood and let the sun dry it. Will have to lay it out and start cutting in the AM. Looks like grass cutting season has officially started.

    Good morning!!!!

62 outside this AM, heading to lower 80's. Foggy outside too. Cannot see front pasture. Quick burst of rain last night. Yesterday mowed the grasses, that's the fourth full mowing of everything so far this year. Even took the weed wacker for a walk. More of that later. Post Office saga...

What to Look for in Zero Turn Mower

IMHO, suspension comfort is related to speed. Speed to me is time saved, so I went for speed and cut width. I have sort of figured out the areas to slow down on, but you know, when you hit a rough spot at speed your glad you have all the safety features, a robust deck and a forgiving body. LOL.

    Good morning!!!!

61 outside this AM, heading to lower 80's. Warm. Nice. Switched over to a/c mode on the upstairs yesterday. Nice and cool for bed time. Did not sleep, LOL. Yesterday was busy with environmental impact meetings, power line and data center meetings and lawyers. Nothing new or productive came...

    Reliable Hose?

That lime green HD hose I bought sometime last year, sprung a leak last night. POS. LOL for me.

    Good morning!!!!

Wife mailed something certified through USPS two weeks ago. It has been bouncing around between/around facilities since it left her hands. I could have driven it up to the recipient faster. Even the status messages she gets are of no help in locating it, "...arriving at next facility..." What...

What to Look for in Zero Turn Mower

I have heard that 1000 hours seem to be the watermark for Kawasaki engine "maintenance". What's the deal?

Long term planning of selling your home?

Around here, these appear to be city dwellers and relocators who have cashed out. Plus the stray lone proprietor whose business is doing well. Half a mile up the road, 10 acre lots (used to be farms) 1.25 - 2.5 million dollar range. Small builders. Further up the road seven miles, hundreds of...

Long term planning of selling your home?

Rent prices exceed mortgage amounts in my area right now. A decent apartment will run one close to 3k a month. Availability exceeds supply. I'd say another factor in the OP choices is employment. That could dictate area/location and quite possibly size of homestead.
