A few questions before I order a tooth bar...

With all the road base/gravel I have to move over the next few weeks, I figure most a lot of the paint will be worn off soon anyway. ... onto the function I moved mostly compost and fill dirt around today, but did test it in the hard clay soil and it's far more effective as I expected. I did...

A few questions before I order a tooth bar...

Went a different route... Welded on these ESCO brand adapters and teeth. They are flush with the cutting edge and I will try it out tomorrow and report back. Since it's a working machine, I don't care much about the mismatched paint. The paint will be scraped off anyway with the work I have...

A few questions before I order a tooth bar...

Just trying to get appropriate information and with everyone's help here, I have. The GET dealer that I've been dealing with mainly deals with equipment this size and larger... ... and their tooth bar experience was for the most part limited to mid to large size skid steers, probably 8-13k...

A few questions before I order a tooth bar...

With the adapters I selected the 1/2" bar will fit flush with the bucket and the adapters. Also a good snug fit with my 5/8" cutting edge. One thing the GET dealer mentioned is that you want a slight gap between the tip of the cutting edge and the adapter... good example in photo. A couple of...

A few questions before I order a tooth bar...

Looks like I'll be building this tooth bar myself. I picked up a set of 5 teeth, ordered 5 adapters, and checked on steel prices for stock 3" x 48", 1/2" thick, both mild steel and AR400. The teeth are by H & L Tooth out of Tulsa (made in usa !!!) So a couple more questions before ordering...

A few questions before I order a tooth bar...

That's what I thought... I'm still going to take my loader to the GET dealer tomorrow morning and see what options they recommend. Rezloh cutting edge weld on flush adapters, etc...

A few questions before I order a tooth bar...

Hey everyone... First off, I have an Ingersoll 7020 4x4 loader with a 4ft bucket. Weighs in around 2,250 lbs. with counterweight attached. I'm looking to buy a tooth bar or have some adapters welded onto the bucket by a local GET (ground engagement tool) dealer. They spent almost an hour...

Vintage vs Modern welders -- advice for a novice.

With all the repairs around the homestead that requires a welder and the desire to build "stuff", I've decided to buy a welder. Coming from a woodworking background, I much prefer the old, heavy iron (table saws, lathes, drill press, etc...), but I'm not sure if that philosophy carries over...

Upgrading/Upsizing 3 point hitch... Need your honest opinions and fabricator leads

I'm seriously considering upgrading/replacing the 3 point hitch on my loader from a Cat 0 to a Cat 1 for the following reasons... 1) General selection of used cat 0 implements are poor in my local area, cat 1 pieces I see for sale fairly often. 2) Cat 1 implements, in general, seem...

Anyone ever see/use a box scraper/box blade like this one ?

Hey everyone... I've stumbled upon a 4ft box scraper made by ARPS (model M179) and before I pull the trigger, I'm curious if anyone has any experience with them. It's heavier than it looks, but I don't any specs on it. Not sure of the age, but it's probably 20-30yrs or more. Unfortunately...

Don't see the "post new thread" button in the Marketplace "wanted ads" forum....

Don't see the "post new thread" button in the Marketplace "wanted ads" forum.... I'm new here to TractorByNet, but not new to forums in general. I wanted to post a new thread in the "wanted ads" forum, but don't see the "post new thread" button. Here is a screenshot of the "wanted ads" page...
