Tractors and wood! Show your pics

Sorry for the late reply. Still very limited internet after the ice storm of the century here. About 5% of the logs I buy are too large or twisted to go through the 16” model I had. And it was difficult to process logs close to maximum diameter unless they were straight with no nubs to...

    New basic EV truck

The appeal for me is cost avoidance. Replacing my F150 today is $60k. Gas at 20 MPG. If I put 15k miles a year on another car for going to town, church, visiting friends, etc I will not need to replace the F150 for another 15 years. So is it smarter to replace the F150 for $75k in 2030, or...

    New basic EV truck

I might be a buyer at $25k. Built in my state and hopefully can get it serviced. It would meet 90% of our needs.

Walmart's direct push into EV charging.

Before Musk supported Trump, the general consensus seemed to be the only viable EV was Tesla. They seemed to sell well to upper income liberals. If their core market has concerns about buying another Tesla, EV’s are going to lose market share. I don’t see the new administration being...

Electric Chainsaws and Working out of a Bucket

I did all my ice storm damage cleanup with a tiny 12" 20V Dewalt saw and two 5 amp-hr batteries. Could not get my gas saw to start.

    UTV Suggestions

I have a Mule SX. Except for the noise, low speed, and rough ride it is a good machine.

EV owners of today and tomorrow

Generalizations do not apply to every situation. It demonstrates your ignorance and bias. I don’t need gas stations to use an EV for 90% of my needs as I can charge at home easily. I do want to be able to get whatever I have serviced.

    XR4155 Won't Stay Running

I get razed about waiting the recommended time so throttle up and shut down but do it religiously. Hope that prevents a costly repair. Only 330 hours on my machine. Run it at minimum 1700 rpm even when doing light work.

EV owners of today and tomorrow

Wish I could take advantage of falling prices on used Teslas but living in rural Michigan makes it a poor decision. Closest dealer is 200 miles away and no local support at all. I rarely see an EV unless on the freeway and they are likely cars from the cities downstate. Would like to...

    Camp property search

We are friends with a couple who ordered a "kit" home. After five years, they still do not have a Certificate of Occupancy. People can get fooled and think building something it is simpler than it really is. The UP of Michigan is definitely not for everyone so I understand a lot of...
