These are 3 of the pages out of the operators manual maintenance section. I don't see anything in the manual about clutch housing fluid. Only the rear end and hydraulic fluid, which is checked at the dipstick behind the seat. As far as I know the manual TC30 has a dry clutch?
It's hard maple. It had the top broken out last year in a storm. I was a little sad to cut it down. It was in the very first picture of the house we live in when my dad was building it in 1971, and I remember my dad tapping that tree for years when he was doing maple syrup.
I will never use anything but an Echo Speed Feed head. I keep about 12' of line in my back pocket (I usually don't need it) and if I run out of string I can fill it in about 30 seconds. I worked in a small engine shop for 15+ years and never saw anything that worked as well. Our commercial...
I bought my TC30 tractor without a loader, even after reading all of the "Don't buy a tractor without a loader" posts. I got a smokin' deal on the tractor and couldn't pass it up. It wasn't really that hard to find a loader for it, but I did have to drive 11 hours to get it. It also was a...
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned buying a new TYM built tractor. If they have emission issues all of that can be completely bypassed without issue as per threads on this forum.
2006 Gravely commercial 260 owner here, we bought it new with a commercial Kohler Command 27hp gas engine. I have put $0 in engine repairs or parts except maintenance items. I would never be able to justify the extra cost of a diesel engine. When I worked at a small engine shop we had many, many...
In Indiana, my understanding is that tractors can be on the road as long as they have a SMV triangle or some kind of flashers on the rear. Farm vehicles actually have the right of way here, I believe.
If I had them, I would throw them up on Facebook marketplace for at least a little while and see if you get any bites. It seems a shame to just scrap them, but I wouldn't want to put any time in it myself. Put them up for sale for 3 or 4 times scrap price and I bet someone would buy them.
I just shut mine down with the kill switch. The same with all my gas stuff (2 and 4 cycle), I never drain or run dry and I haven't had any issues for over 25 years.
It is indeed the HST linkage. In that cropped picture you can just barely see it, but the spring that returns the pedal to neutral is in that round sleeve.
