    Bang for Buck - GC1723/25

I chose the 1725MB because the extra HP will help just a little when I have the box blade out earning it's keep.

What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY

Huh. By "customer" you mean a friend you helped out? Where's the retaining wall - I see borders but no wall. Just curious, since I need to do a retaining wall in my back area - also, that's a really casual job to get money for - particularly out where I live.

How much can the 3pt Hitch actually Lift on the 1700 series?

Afternoon, Just curious what the max weight anyone has lifted with their 3pt hitch on a 1700 series - the Tractor Data chart for a new 1725MB shows max lift to be 661 lbs. at 24" and 1191 lbs., "at the ends" , is this accurate, or will it lift say 675 lbs. (tiller & QH, for example)? TIA, Pick

    BX23 (XX?) Light Upgrade

Yup. Out here in CA. we can get away with just the SMV sign, going around the neighborhood (which, I will have to do coming from the backyard to the front, I'll have about a 1/4 mile of street to run on, when I do any work in front) like the Amish do when they travel public roads. Pick

    Automatic entry gates - DIY

22' custom wrought iron rolling, solid body, 6' high, solar opener and clickers. $8300.00 w/out the track slab and opener foot. Very reputable and respected iron worker that fabricates everything he sells. $48k, even in LA, would get you a lot more than that. He's just waiting for my concrete...

    General Safety Question

I've always heard it as "old enough to know better, too young to resist", it has applied to one or 2 specific topics for me. In general, still figuring it out - hopefully, getting a SCUT and having never operated anything other than a car, won't take me to learning it the hard way, but...

What was you experience with Dog rescues?

Laugh all you want - our foster homes never got a say in who we adopted too, that was not their job or function in my organization. I did inspections on our foster homes and would cancel them from our program because they failed to keep up with the standards of our foster home contract - I had...

What was you experience with Dog rescues?

Sigarms nailed it. I founded and ran a breed specific (Golden Retriever) rescue for 10 years. We had strict guidelines and we enforced our adoption contracts. We did it for the dogs, period. We interviewed the applicants prior to even broaching what dog might be suitable for them - we turned...

    Removing rocks from soil.

Well, I will no longer gripe about the rock farm we have out here (the town was named Littlerock for a reason, Lol) after hearing about the actual rocks you all deal with. I'll be able to deal with my rocks with the landscape rake, with any luck - basically #2 in sandy dirt. Those pieces of...

    How many Attachments?

Finally made a decision; bought a Massey Ferguson GC1723EB

Congrats!! I'm patiently waiting for mine to show at the dealer - latest guestimate is 6/15, we'll see. Excellent choice, I did all the homework as well -I just need to remove the wheelbarrow, rake and shovel from my life for the next round of upgrades to my landscaping on our acre, and the...

    What kind of Box Scraper?

The Gearmore BB48 is the one I have coming with my MF GC1725MB - I researched and felt it will do exactly what I need it to - 300 lbs is fine for my dirt, and, Gearmore is the company that my Massey Dealer works with, so, it's on my financing. Pick
