    Care of Septic Tank

I bought our present house in 1988. There was a tank of unknown capacity, to my knowledge it had never been pumped and I have never pumped it yet, don't even know exactly where the tank and leach field are burried. Works fine with varying numbers of people. I put in two extra bathrooms and...

Hydraulic lines severely rubbing right front tire, any suggestions?

To avoid interference with the front wheel, your quick connects should not be turned down as they are, but up or at least to the side. Here is a picture of mine.

    Rotary cutting

Some cutters can be easily offset to cover one side of the tracks completely. Such is the case with mine which can be hitched either in a centered position or offset to the right (very convenient along walls or hedges).

Rotary Cutter Woods Brush Hog on MF231 - I keep bending the support bars

There's no way it can work with a rigid link between tractor and cutter. You must allow the back of the cutter to go up and down as the terrain requires. If it's rigid, it's bound to bend or break. I personally use chains and there is also an adjustment on the lift arms to allow some mobility.

    Plant identification

Can anyone tell me anything about these bushes photographed in Japan this spring. As far as I can tell, the name on the label doesn't seem to correspond to anything. I'd be very grateful for any information.

    Hydraulics limitations

I have some problems with hydraulically hooking up implements to my JD 3520. Trying to find better solutions led me to realize I didn't understand much of how the hydraulics of my tractor work. Why is it that I cannot lift and tilt the loader bucket at the same time? How come using the cylinders...

A tipping trailer for my CUT

I like the FEL very much on my JD 3520, but it has its limits. After hundreds of runs to carry cut branches to the burning place, I'm dreaming of a tipping trailer. I have no experience with tractor trailers and the best way to connect them to the tractor. I would be thankful for your experience...

    New JD 3520 : she's a beauty !

For various reasons, I had to wait for six months before the new tractor was delivered. It was well worth it. I feel bad for trading in my old Massey Ferguson 35 after 14 years, but I'd caught the green fever.:D

    Tiller  Tillers for CUTs

I'm looking at a new tiller for a JD3520 ( 30 PTO hp). Deere recommends 655 (55'' commercial duty) or 665 (65" commercial duty). I wouldn't use it too intensively since I only have about 3 acres to maintain, but I'm fed up with the walk behind tiller and the effort it implies. 65" would be nice...
