Hi Doug! Nice looking 3060! Thanks for the tips on the gear boxes. I plan to tackle those next now that the center section is holding gear oil.
The front hydraulics is one of the things that got me excited about this machine. The attachments aren’t that common, but hopefully I can track down a...
Glad it digested the cinder block okay LOL. Doesn’t seem like much would slow these things down!
I need to get an anti-scalp roller for mine too. Can’t believe it’s $192!!
The headlight housing and headlight are going to run me $250, but it may come in handy some evening hahaha
I hear you on...
Hahaha yeah I think the previous owner liked to mow wayyyy to close to the trees! I do body work and paint on the side. I’ll try my hand at redoing the hood and front apron sometime.
Thanks, Shady! I found a power angle blade for it online for around $2k. It was just too far away. Hopefully, some more attachments will pop up from time to time.
This thing is a beast! It “found” a 2’ long piece of 1/2” rebar in the weeds behind my garage yesterday (dang messy contractors)...
Made some good progress on my repairs over the weekend. Put on some new rear tires and replaced the leaky pinion seal. The new tires really helped on the steep stuff and it was nice to not have 80w90 slung all over the bottom of the engine.
Also, I ordered some more parts to secure my battery...
Thanks for the recommendations on the seat. I’ll check out some of the aftermarket options. I agree that mowing after dark is not ideal, but sometimes I run out of daylight late in the season due to my work schedule. I’m planning on getting a power angle blade and power broom for this machine to...
I was just typing the same thing lol. Those tires turned into slicks on both ends. Thankfully it was a fairly slow slide down the hill so I didn’t tear anything up or eat the steering wheel. I hate trimming those hills too. I try to only do it a few times a season. Makes me want to kill all the...
Unfortunately, the loose moss and mud filled those turf tires pretty quickly, and then I was toast. The bad thing about our property is most of the steep stuff is above the road and it’s even steeper dropping down to the road. I think I need to landscape that section and just stay the heck away...
I mowed our property today and I was super impressed with the results. The yard looks like a golf course and it probably took me 1/3 of of the usual time!
Only minor issue I found with the tractor was a leaking input seal in the rear end. I’ll keep it topped off until I get a chance to replace...
Seller said it was changed at the end of last mowing season. Has maybe 10 hours on it now. How often do you guys change the oil in the rear end. He said that has not been done since he owned it.
