FYI: Had this same issue on my Kohler CH25S (2003). Issue was bad coil. An easy way to check for a bad coil is to measure the resistance using an ohm meter. The coil resistance should be between 6000 & 7000 ohms. My was an open circuit. Use the ground (engine block) and the spark plug wire. I...
