Finally made a decision on backhoe. With the cost of adding plumbing and the backhoe itself, I went for a mini ex instead. Thus far has been a good decision, but its only been a couple of weeks.
Found a couple of videos on Youtube. I see what you are saying now. One says this is easier on the tracks and one says it is not. Not sure but I can see using it in tight situations. Surely must be harder on the ring gears?

My take on a homemade ballast box. Just poured it yesterday. Somewhere around 650 lbs. I use Pat's so I didn't have to worry with quick hitch fitment issues. Now the hard part. Waiting for it to cure.
