I had bought a switch several years back and grabbed it off of another chassis. I cleaned and dielectric grease in connection but recheck it again. Thanks for a new idea.

That’s good to know thank you. So you think pto switch would be better to change than the neutral switch in transmission.

I have another battery I could try too.

It was showing 12.63 dcv not a load test, the battery is only a few months old. And getting a good reading at starter. I guess I was hoping to get another idea from the parts guy. The starter bendix doesn’t even make any noise.

No not yet I polished the contacts on safety neutral switch, I guess I will order a switch next. I don’t know if the relay switches go out very much I have three of them! I wouldn’t think the rectifier would be a problem area. JD dealer was not much help. Running out of ideas.

The fellow at counter at JD is not giving me any ideas on switches or anything else I asked how much for safety neutral switch was $34 and change and tax. But no information at all. But if I forgot and left in gear the minute I put in neutral it would start!

Meter at the starter shows over 12 volts, Battery is showing the same, I flipped pto switches back and forth and kicks on and off like it should.

I push in the brake and clutch, transmission in neutral, then while sitting on seat and pto off I turn key to start nothing happens after that. The mower had started fine before. I did install a new pto to install it I hoisted mower up in the front to make it easier to install I can hear pto...

Have a 260 JD lawn tractor manual transmission changed pto and now it won’t Start have power to starter, been trying to find a bad safety switch but everything ran before new pto! Any new ideas would help thanks.
