Eddie I agree 100%! Looking at building, or having built, a 30x36, building for stalls, hay storage, etc. I have an older non working chest freezer I plan to use for grain storage. Current horse was fence with two strands of electric for the last 10 years, so she should be easy to keep in. I...

Not too much, my back still isn’t allowing me to do everything I want, but is getting better everyday. Baseball took a lot of my time, as I was the head coach this time, but that ended last week. Deal finally went through on my double wide, and I get paid tomorrow. Had my contractor friend come...

Really appreciate all the well wishes and shared Covid experiences. We are all recovered nearly to normal. Still a little bit of taste/smell changes, and energy isn’t completely back, but we are all feeling pretty good. Recovering from Covid has been easy compared to my herniated disc in my...

Just before it hit me, I had prepared part of my yard for seeding. A couple evenings later, just before we were going to get some rain, I thought I felt good enough to sow some grass, 15 minutes in, my energy was in the negatives and I had to get back to the couch. Haven’t bothered to try...

Crappy turn of events have led to no progress….. My middle school daughter brought Covid home from school, her symptoms started late Thursday. My wife got it Friday, my son and myself had symptoms by Saturday/Sunday. We are fortunate to have mostly mild symptoms. Kids are back to normal. Wife...

We only seem to use the front door when going out on the porch. We really only come in through the garage. Pretty much all of our visitors are family and friends, so they use the garage as well. I’m guessing the front door will be mostly for strangers, which we see very little of living out a...

Always wanted full length porches, we almost changed it, but changed back at the last minute, glad we did. Being in the country, they are pretty common here. Of course I may have been second guessing that when I was pressure washing it this morning with an achy leg……

Both views are pretty good, but the back looks over the hay field where lots of deer and turkey cross, so we sit back there most of the time. The sun hits the front in the morning and back for a short time in the evening. That also dictates which porch we use.

Here’s a picture of the finished front porch ceiling. Still have to do the back, just got started on it when my back issue came about. Here’s how the lighting looks at night. Spent most of the day laying on the couch, haven’t done that in years, but did manage to get the mud pressure...

Don’t mind at all. We did adjust a few things like master bath layout, and made the two small closets in the master one big closet with a 5’ double door that’s out swing. Also added a window in the master closet mainly to break up the wall to look better from the outside.

The pain was bad, but It’s lowering everyday, so I’m headed in the right direction. The hope is that the disk isn’t too damaged and will go back to normal. Hoping to avoid surgery, that’s for sure. I’ll be getting an mri later this month. I read all about you GBS in the good morning thread. I...

    New House Build in WV

I’ve completed a few small tasks over the last month but not much. I started having some lower back pain and within a couple days of it starting, the nerve down my right leg went to hurting. A pain like I have never felt in my life, and non stop. I could barely walk 10’. I saw a chiropractor...
