15 year old Craftsman mower issues

Check the wiring going into the alternator, use AC scale. If you see voltage there the regulator is probably bad.

    Where was your generator made?

I bought this generator years ago as an insurance policy, had some outages and had to bail out the small basement, really worked out well, never needed it afterwards. Made in USA.

    Best and worst chainsaw?

A bit off topic but worth a mention I think. Son lives way up on the "Ridge" and had a big tree down. Got a bottle of the new Stihl biodegradable 50:1 mix oil with fresh gas and started cutting. After the first tank his MS290 (?) started slowing down and quit. Piston and cylinder was...

    Southern auto owners

Some years ago a car ran through the fence on a friend's property. Kind of a shady looking outfit so my buddy blocked the car and told the wrecker driver to get lost. That car stayed right there waiting for some sort of payout from somebody. Car stayed there for some years until he cut it up...

    Cordless Framing Nailer

I like a hammer in some places as it really sinks the nail and pulls the board down tight. Screws are great in some places too but some of those pretty gold colored screws are plain garbage. Built a 2 story pole storage building and used screws throughout. Spent some money on those too...

Vevor 6000 psi air grease gun

Just a side note. About any grease fitting on a mower that needs this kind of pressure probably can be freed up with the propane torch. Especially that front axle pivot that never gets greased on most mowers. Warm it up and the standard gun will probably do it.

    Can I grease too much?

And no use overgreasing these parts in a seldom used machine considering the price of grease these days. Ouch!

    Can I grease too much?

Unless it's a sealed unit with no outlet I'd think the more (or more often) the better.

Just arrived and hour meter is broken

I'm thinking if the dealer was in fact a crook looking to scam someone he would have fixed the meter, get it working, and nobody would be the wiser? Good that it did get settled - even with all the aggravation.

Gov't mandates gas can flame arrestors.

If the insurance company ever gets into my garage I'm in big trouble anyway. My gas cans sit in a corner and I fill up out in the yard always.

    It’s too hot to mow.

Grass here in So. Ohio is getting crunchy these days. Mowers gathering dust, not a bad thing actually. Pretty hard on the farmers though.

Parking Lithium powered Equipment in the house or garage

Hate to have to park a Kia outside these days, might not be there in the morning and the teens that swiped it might be dead from crashing it.

Gov't mandates gas can flame arrestors.

Never thought of this. And much easier to handle than a full 5 gal. plastic jug too.

The Chinese are just practicing for the takeover.

    Weed Eater Attachment

I suspect those wire brushes will get gummed up and full of matted grass pretty quick. And it would take a pretty hefty machine to run that heavy cutter head. But might be great for polishing concrete surfaces? I'll watch and see if you get any actual reviews.
