hard steering in cold on lb1914

My tractor doesn't get too much use this time of year. The last couple of times I have used it this winter, the steering has been frozen solid when I try steering it after letting it warm up for about 10 minutes. I have to use all my might to get it working. and after a while it's like normal...

    Another set of forks

Here is my version of bucket forks. I got some towmotor forks for free and went from there. They work real good for lifting logs. The only thing I don't like is I had a pallet box full of wood on rough terrain, a little tippy. Can't wait to use them for brush.

    1914 3pt question

Is there any way to make the 3 pt hitch go lower? I need my grading blade to go lower for snow removal. I have the lever all the way down but the blade doesn't stay in contact with the ground when I go over a dip in my driveway. Any help would be appreciated

    Backhoe hydraulic problem

I purchased a SMC(rhino) 65A backhoe about a year and a half ago. So far I am very pleased with it's performance. Recently, it has developed annoying sound. When ever any of the controls are pulled back when the corresponding piston is all the way in, there is a chattering sound. At first it was...

    Hyd filter for 65a backhoe

I have a SMC 65a backhoe, same as rhino. I'm looking to replace the hyd fluid and filter. Does anyone know a good filter that will fit? Oh, the backhoe uses the manufacturers pto pump kit. The parts list has #6095 for a filter but I can't cross reference it. Any help is appreciated.

    LB1914 floor

My floor around the rubber mats were wearing through the paint. Can't have that! I picked up some Duplicolor "spray in bed liner" in a spray can. I masked it off and roughed it up with sand paper and sprayed it on. It appears to be tough stuff. I have to wait until tomorrow to try it out. I'm...

    weak fel

I have a 1914 tlb that I have wondered if I am getting all the power I should be getting from it. I get about 1/3 to 1/2 of a bucket of dirt and it barely curls back and it must be curled all the way back for the arms to lift fully. The hyd bypass on the tractor is all the way up. My question is...

    Front loader cutting edge

I want to put a replaceable cutting edge on my loader so I don't have to cut out the original down the road. I will have to drill holes for the new one. Any ideas where I can get one? I was wondering about a snow plow cutting edge, but wasn't sure if it was too hard.

Grading  New blade for my LB1914

I bought a 5' blade just in time for the first snow. I was suprised how easy the backhoe came off. The blade worked great except I wish I had weight on it for the ice under the snow.

    Aux lights on Rops

Will drilling into the roll bar cause any problems? I want to add some lights but I see here on this site, the wires run on the outside of the roll bar as well as the lights tie wrapped on. I'd like to either weld a plate on for a light mount or drill through as well as run the wires through a...
