    Craftsman rear tine tiller tranny grinding

    I have an older (1989) craftsman rear tine tiller, model # 917.299651 5 hp 17". The tiller still functions but in forward or reverse or with the tines engaged the tranny makes a horrible grinding noise. I can still operate all gears ok and it goes into neutral ok.     New Cub Cadet owner w/ questions

    I recently purchased a 2003 Cadet 42" 1000 series mower. The mower says Cadet, but all the manuals say Cub Cadet. Has a 17 horse briggs with a spin on oil filter. Is this a decent mower?
