I need to replace the synchronizers in my CK30. Is this a job that can be done in the barn, or better off left to the dealer?

My CK30 has been getting locked/jammed up in Rev. for a week or so. Sometimes I have to drive in REV a minute and it will Free up and allow me to FWD shift.
