Hold my Beer! I Modded my TX25!

I thought it might be fun and useful to start a thread to showcase mods and tricks to making your TX25 an even better tractor. So, let's see 'em! My Mods: Started on a grill guard, haven't had time to finish it yet. But then I saw Summit saying they were going to release one so waiting to see...

    Multi Seal Hydro 1500

Well, I went ahead and bought the Multi Seal Hydro 1500 (5 gal.) for the rear tires and PRO HD 2500™ XE (1 gal.) for the front tires. Since a picture is worth a thousand words: Rim Guard. It looks like soy sauce, it smells like soy sauce, no I didn't thank fully taste it, so I can't say it...

Summit Tractors Parts & Service Support

You will love their service manuals then. They give you a complete break down and reassembly. Any specialty tools are shown in the beginning with the part numbers so you can order them. Below is an example of one step of the disassembly process. Pretty straightforward and easy to understand. You...

    Multi Seal Hydro 1500

How many gallons of Rimguard does Summit add in the rear tires of a Summit TX25? Does Summit have the tires filled to the full capacity of the tire? If not, what is the full/fill capacity of the rear tires? I am thinking of putting Hydro 1500 in the tires and the instructions say to: Add 1 gal...

    Who's got one?

If you're thinking of adding a hydraulic top link, to the TX25 it's not quite a simple bolt on. I will do a write up on this. Minor tractor deconstruction is required. I have added a safety knob on the 3 point hydraulics to keep others from inadvertently adjusting my settings.

    Who's got one?

You may. The Summit TX25 only has a couple little depressions in the fenders for "storage". I took the tool kit that came with it in the welcome kit and put it in the cross tube on the loader. Then I was thinking to myself, self, I can't possibly store all that I could need with me on this...

    Who's got one?

Bear in mind this is my first tractor, so my observations are not colored or biased by any other brand or tractor. I have only ever rented and operated a small skid steer and excavator. 1. Quality of the unit I am pleased with the quality of the unit so far. Fit and finish is very good in my...

    Who's got one?

I have about 25 hours on the TX25 now. No regrets or major issues to report so far. I was greasing the loader and there is one pin I could not get grease into. I pulled the pin out and couldn't find any obvious issue. I ran some grease through it and cleaned out the pin hole and put it back...

    Who's got one?

We decided on Thursday to make the purchase. I called the Atwood store in Joplin, got some information and told them we would be there on Saturday. We got up 5:30am, I loaded the trailer onto the truck and we were on the road to Joplin. Two and a half hours and a Billy Sims lunch later we...
