I have a 1987 Johnson 70 hp 2 stroke outboard with 3 carburators that have NEVER been touched in 35 years. I did the 1 can of Seafoam to 1 gallon of straight gas (oil injected) method and it has NEVER started better or run better since the day I bought it new. Would I do it again? In a heart beat.

Have you cleaned the terminals? Spent an hour helping a guy try to start his boat and he insisted the terminals were clean. I finally said just humor me and remove the clamps and scrape them with a knife which was all that was available so he did. Reconnected them and it started very nicely...

Check the various safeties. I had a similar issue with a seat safety when I got off too quickly and the seat safety failed to reset.

Yes you can forget it. Eventually you will wonder who stuck those labels to the tractor and remove them, at least I did 🤢 Ha! I did use the label maker and printed the tire PSI, Oil, filter numbers, various torque numbers etc and stuck under the hood. Beats wearing out the owners manual out.
