Snow  1926 Snow Tractor with Henry Ford

Thought some of you up north would find this interesting. Too bad global warming is making snow but a memory from days gone by. Check out this "Snow Tractor" video. It is pretty impressive. For the tractor lovers amongst us.

BX 24 - Broken Seat Latch Assembly

There is a latch beneath the front of the seat on a BX 24 series tractor. This latch is spring loaded and effectively locks the seat down in the front and rear (backhoe) positions. While turning the seat yesterday I had something fly off the latch. It was a spring ...which by no small stroke...

FEL Rock Loader for BX Models?

Has anyone ever heard of a Rock Loader FEL that will fit the BX model tractors?

    The Low Down on Dirt..

I need to order some top soil or sandy loam. The question is, how much. I know soil is sold by the yard. How many yards are in a standard dual axle dump truck anyway? Is this square yards? Basically I need to figure out the Yard volume to figure how much this covers a given square feet a...

BX 24 -3pt hitch. Why no pins?

I went to attach a landscape rake to my BX 24 for the first time last night. After what was a pretty smooth and straight forward 3pt hitch installation, I went to attach the implement to the tractor. I noticed the distinct absence of a 3/4" pin on the top link and 2- 1/2" retaining pins of...

The "What can a BX do thread...."

Can a BX 24 dig up a stump.... Yep. (even by someone who has never touched the controlls of a Bach Hoe before! Some of you would have laughed your head off at me learning that you really cant do it by step 1 - lower arm step 2 - move bucket step 3 curl boom etc....)

Tires  BX 24- Who actually unloads tires w/BH

So manual says loaded rear tires are OK but should be removed when the BH is installed. Who would actually do this each time the BH is added? Anyone have an opinion on this or experience with the loaded tires while the BH is installed. The reason I ask is that I my landscape rake weight is...

    BX 24 - I dont get it....

The operator manual states that the MMM should be removed when using the BH. I can not for the life of me see why this is called for. I can understand the FEL since you will invariably run over rocks and sticks and such that may damage the MMM. But the BH seems to be so independent of the MMM...

Tires  bx R4 tires and flat fix / prevention

Any suggestions on fixing or prevention on the BX model tires? Someone stated they did not have much luck with the plugs holding. Since that was my plan, I am looking for other options. Does the Green slime help? Any other things to perpare for this inevitable pain in the rear....

Ballast  Amount of Ballast weight required for FEL

I have a 60" Landscape rake on order. It weighs in at around 189#. Will this be enough ballast weight to use the FEL effectively while the Landscape rake is attached or will I need to figure a method of adding some weights to the rake assembly. If I need more weight, I can add about 60# or...

Proper implement position while not in use

The manual for my BX 24 states that the FEL and BH should be on the ground when the tractor is parked and turned off. I assume this is to release pressure from the hydrolics. For the sake of space in the Garage, can the BH in particular be left in the normal up and tight position to save space...

BX 24 digging capability & my quote

I have been looking at a BX24 for my 1 acre lot. Lot is generally level except for a 4' hill side where we boarder the road. WE are basically on the bottom of a large limestone hill in the Texas Hillcountry. Ground is very hard but on the positive side NO water stands on it at all. Even 5'...
