    Small Shop Cranes

    I bought one of the mid-sized Harbor Fright [sic] ones and use the hell out of it. It's advantage is that everything folds up, so very easy to put in a "corner". When rigging the retractable air-hose reel, it was pretty theatrical trying to hold the weight and mount it (in a quonset building)...

    Hard to go wrong with MILLER. They often offer free classes at the dealers, so that could help you as well. Operate the unit on 240 vac... More [input] voltage, less [input] current required... welds will be more consistent.

    Snow Tractor won’t start tonight.

    It may very well NOT be what you think it is... moisture from melt gets into the safety switch below the seat (and other places), then refreezes... My Kubota "thinks" there's nobody on the seat, so refuses to wake up. Try "exercising" all the safety switches, and see if it helps.

    Picked up my "new" 2004 Kubota L3031DT from Southwest Ag (SWag) in Bayfield, CO. Terrific folks from Drew the salesman to the mechs in the shop. First Class treatment and an excellent price. The drive from Denver to Bayfield (near Durango) is a long one, but well worth it. I highly recommend...

    Rhino augers

    Hi Gang, A FNG here... began on a farm in KS, long ago (with an H Farmall), but finally have my OWN tractor. I have a RHINO EDHD auger (think that's the model no.) w/12" bit, but shopping for a 6" - aside from dealers and the usual swaplists, anybody got a clue as to a source - gee, maybe...
