As far as Quick Hitch compatible - I don’t have the thread reference, but recall reading in the forum (I think here) that the Quick Hitches themselves don’t necessarily have standard uniform specs - If I recall, there was someone w/ a mower that attached to one brand of Quick Hitch w/ no issues...
I ended up pulling the trigger on the Titan Drawbar w/ suitcase weight bracket because I saw that it was on sale at Amazon. Hoping it will be compatible w/o any mods.
I have a Massey 1835M w/ a 72” bucket. I’d like to add a bolt on bracket to top of bucket that has the D-Rings, hooks, and 2” receiver. When shopping around on Amazon, and other sites, I see the manufacturer specific models for mostly JD, and when I see the “Universal models” they list a number...
That’s clever. I already own the suitcase weights, and thought about rigging up directly to the Quick Hitch similar to what you’ve done. That’s exactly what I did on my previous tractor. However, as I get older, I have made a number of dolly’s to enable me to remove & store all my implements w/o...
I have a Woods Quick Hitch, and would like to purchase a suitcase weight attachment for it. I have come to realize after researching these forums in the past, that all quick hitches aren’t created equal in terms of specs, compatibility etc… That said, does anyone know of a compatible suitcase...
I finally got around to installing head unit & 4 speakers in the Massey 1835M. Replaced 4” rears w/ 5.25’s, and added 4” in front. That said, I removed roof, and ducting to accesss everything, but it’s been so long now, I can’t recall something I think I removed. I vaguely remember removing some...
Thanks for the feedback. I know Massey (Agco) is in bed w/ Woods, so guessing it may be the very same mower you have, just w/ a different name.
I currently have a 60” mid mount on the GC Massey I’m trading in. I ended up buying 2 sets of ramps, and am able to drive up all 4 tires & allow enough...
I’m looking at ordering a Massey 72” mid-mount mower (Model 1705) run from a Massey 1835M.
I have about 3 acres of native grasses. Has anyone used this particular mower, and able to comment on its performance? How it performs in taller grass etc…. ?
Thanks,
Wineguy
I ordered a Massey 1835M.
I’d like to have a 3rd function for grappler, as well as an Auto leveler when I put forks on it. That said, my dealer doesn’t show either of them as a factory add-on w/ my order, but rather something that I’d order through Massey (Agco Parts), and have a second party...
Capt Pat, do you happen to know the diameter of the speakers you have in your 1840? I ordered the 1835, but will not be here til late Aug, and wanted to order aftermarket speakers prior. Just didn't want to order something that didn't fit the factory holes. It looks like it's maybe 5.25" but...
Thanks, I have heard the factory system is mediocre, so only paid 100.00 for the Alpine head unit, and already have speakers in the sizes it should be - Just didn’t know if it was 4”, 5.25” or 6” - I actually enjoy installing, so don’t mind doing it
I purchased a Massey 1835M w/ cab that’s due to arrive late Aug. Since it doesn’t include a radio, I purchased an Alpine UTE-73BT head unit, and will purchase some replacement speakers as well.
Questions #1: Is a harness included to attach from Agco/Massey pre-wire harness to aftermarket unit...
I’m planning on upgrading my GC1725MB to an 1835M or 1840M. I prefer the stance of the E series, and wondered if it was possible to use wheels & tires from an E series on the M series, so it has a lower stance?
I did quite a bit of research when I had the same question. I talked to mechanics at dealers about any mechanical issues, talked to other users, parts availability, as well as many other questions I felt I needed to ask.
I ended up getting a Massey GC1725MB. You don’t require the (B) part...
