    Buying Advice Auctions?

Agree with what many say here. Plenty of good items and experiences at auctions, but also plenty of the opposite as well. Always best to put your eyes & hands on it first. Even operate it if you can. Most every auction allows inspections and general operation. If they didn't, that's a red...

Mini Excavator Brands, pros and cons?? Hours?

I purchased a Takeuchi TB228 from the local shop of a large equipment rental company. Happen to have a sales rep that my company worked with that I had some trust in. Told him I was looking for a used machine and he gave me the option. He also stated what LD1 says above, they maintenance...

Should a new tractor come with a full tank of gas?

My Kubota came with a full tank, a hat, and free delivery. It also had a 460 rancher chainsaw in it...but I paid for that. They just delivered it by placing it in the cab. Convenient. It came with some oil and all the manuals tho. :)

Suddenly I have too much hydraulic fluid in my m8560?

Update on this - and thanks for the suggestions and help! I found the vent tubes on my Kubota 8560. See the picture below. There is one on the left side, where I had removed the hose already. There was another tube on the right, still clamped in this pic. Both were a pain to remove but I got...

Suddenly I have too much hydraulic fluid in my m8560?

Thank you for that info. I cannot find any real confirmation on where these are, or how many. I have a cab model and it looks like those lines are darn near impossible to get to easily. There is a breather toward the front/firewall right behind the motor on the trans that I was able to get to...

Suddenly I have too much hydraulic fluid in my m8560?

I was changing the oil when I found the hose leak actually. No change in oil levels. I will check the coolant levels. It has been really hot lately and but only ran a little warmer than normal once. Cleaned out the radiator and such, got it back to normal. These Kubota's pretty much require...

Thanks Roadworthy - it's worth a check. Just need to figure out where the vents are located....

Suddenly I have too much hydraulic fluid in my m8560?

Hi there, Looking for some help or advice on this one. I have a Kubota m8560 with a single set of rear remotes and a Kubota FEL. It's got about 300 hours on it, and I've owned it since new (few years now). I check the hydraulic level on the dipstick near the PTO regularly. For the last 250...

    Zerks and tears

I've had this problem on equipment occasionally. I've found a that sometimes moving/manipulating the bushing/arm/shaft/yoke (whatever) can help get the grease to push out whatever is in the way. Sometimes a 2 person job. Also, I'll remove the zerk and test it to make sure that grease can flow...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

So, ironically enough...I had my first experience with an LS tractor over the weekend. It's been bugging me since. I saw this post and thought "what timing!". Plus I need to get my experience off my chest. First off, my experience was very limited. An in-law has a pretty much new LS 7...

Saplings and brush around pond banks. Suggestions?

I might have the same sort of trees along the lake bank problem. They grow like crazy in small groups. If left unchecked they can get a couple inches thick. Typically there's a just a bunch of smaller trunks, less than an inch. I've used a brush hog. The pain is backing into the area. I've...

Should I cab or not. Getting ready to buy

As others have stated and we seem to be in agreement - A cab makes a huge difference for generally tolerating outdoor conditions, whatever they may be. It also keeps that dust out of your eyes, ears, and nose. I grew up without a cab tractor and then finally, 35 years later was able to...
