Hi,

Anyone seen the new MT 225S up close that replaces the aging XJ units? Pics from National Farm Machinery show look great. I would say they aimed it directly at the Kubota B 2601 which is what Deere should have looked at when they came out with their new downgraded version of the Yanmar-based 2025R.

Appologies if this is the wrong place to ask. Does anyone knows how to decode the chassis serial number for a LS MT225SH? I thought where this is a general discussion about the MT225 it would be a good place to start. thx

Hi,

Answering my own question with some info that may help others.

LS has a nice online parts look up where if you enter your chassis serial number it will return the Production Date for you machine.. ( http://lspo.lsmtron.com/PartsList/wpc2000_MAIN.aspx )

**OLD THREAD ALERT***

So 3 years later, how are these MT 225S tractors holding up?
So at 487 hours we needed to replace front seal on the front wheel assist right side from tractor seat. Otherwise tractor is running fine. Still satisfied with purchase. Tough tractor easy to operate. So what say the other MT225s owners. What are your thoughts.

I was going to buy the old version mentioned back in 2021 and the business owner told me that I would do a lot better with the 225s. I bought it sight unseen and have had a great time having it around.....usually it's a second set of hands and very operator oriented with decent amenities.

Only thing as with most small tractors is pay attention to the terrain and what you are carrying around in your loader. I put weights on the rears and built 4" wheel extenders making the tires just within the cutting width of the 5' shredder (mower) that I use with it.

Something else that may be of interest is that LS provides and LS dealers stock. a box full of filters, all the filters the tractor uses and after I bought the tractor it was priced at $50.....heck of a deal. Don't know how its priced today.
