As the title says, I have the CT335 (2010) which should be the DK35....long story short, need to split the tractor to get the oil pan removed (unless someone knows how to do that without splitting, I don't see a way), I'm at the propeller shaft and the instructions are very basic:

6.1.5 PROPELLER SHAFT

1. Remove the bolts and slide the propeller shaft cover .

2. Tap out the spring pin (8), and then slide the cou-

pling (2) to the rear.

3. Remove the propeller shaft and cover.

My question to anyone who has done it, where the hell is the spring pin? When I'm under the tractor I undid the bolt on the front shaft cover and slide it back, this exposes a coupler, however this coupler has "some" play, 1/8 in or so and it doesn't "appear" to have any pin in it that I can see, looks like I see the splines on the shaft. So went to the rear shaft cover, removed it's bolt and slid it forward, there is another coupler, that one has "something" in it but tried lightly tapping with a punch and it didn't budge. Looking at it real close, it looks like it might be screwed in? It almost looks like a hex opening, but I didn't try anything to turn it as the instructions clearly state to tap the pin out.

Here is a pic of the diagram (sorry couldn't just paste it in)

Now looking at the image, one would think that left is rear and right is front, right? So if my logic in seeing this diagram is right, then the front coupler, to which I see nothing in it is where this spring pin is located.

Anybody have any thoughts? I'm just stumped and not sure if I just hammer away at it with a punch (oh by the way, it's in an impossible location thanks to the oil pan, but regardless of that, should I just keep attacking it and trust that something will pop out the other side :D

Any and all help is always appreciated.

The "spring pin" is a roll pin (in most people's vocabulary) and yes it will drive out of the coupler. It helps if you jack up the front of the tractor and put stands under the axle. Provides a lot more "belly room" under there and allows the wheels and drive shaft to rotate so you can get the best angle on the hammer and punch routine.

Thanks, I had my brother also looking at the drawing and when he zoomed in he said roll pin as well.
