Caster wheel(s) on the short trailer.

Maybe one like these.

lol... when I first saw dstig's image, I was thinking, "that's one hell of an anti-sway setup!" :ROFLMAO:

First impression of the photo: Looks like that hitch was designed by a fan of M. C. Escher!

Then studying their website, seems to confirm this. :p

I guess single-wheel trailers with two fixed hitch points were fairly common in the old days, like this one sold by Sears.

My interpretation of this is that it effectively extends the vehicle with at most a minor increase of weight on the back end (depending on the location fore/aft of the wheel); it articulates up/down to allow for flex when going up or down a curb, but it doesn't impose any requirements on the driver to steer a trailer ("turn the other way first")

1940 Plymouth? Grandpa had the similar 1939 Dodge for nearly 20 years. Indestructible! A classic for its time.

The Doge trucks, even more so. Here's one, a South America rural bus, repurposed as a party wagon with DJ and huge speakers.

Still a classic of American design.

One of Mom's stories when she was young, maybe 1930, was an old sedan that got tipped on its side when one of those one-wheel trailers loaded with gravel caused a swerve while simply turning at an intersection. Lots of inertia back there!

My dad had a ‘39 Plymouth. In 1963 we loaded up a 8’ home built trailer with essential household stuff and pulled it from PA to TX so that I could attend college. Made it without issue and lasted another 10 years before my mom sold it.

And I thought that breaking a set of pups was painful when I made a wrong turn getting into an inner city terminal....

Oops.

Driver takes a gigantic Australian outback road train - 128 wheels? - into a traffic roundabout. He's stuck. Even if he unhitches everything how is he going to re-assemble that mess.
Looks like 4 bolts holding that road sign in the middle of the round-about.

He should have driven over the mid section. Around here they soon learned they needed to remove the inside hard curbs when the circle was too small in diamter. Jon
