I dont understand why someone would buy a tractor and not use it.
Sometimes the unexpected happens. My 2010 GC has just under 1000 hours on it, but my 2010 zero turn has less than 40 hours. When the boss tells you that she no longer gets enough exercise and wants to cut the lawn with the 20 inch push model, you don't dare complain. I'm preparing the zero turn for use this year as she's now 70 and starting to feel it. She agreed when I suggested I cut the main parts with the rider and she could trim around the perimeter. We are on an acre and I expect to put on 1/2 hour a week this year.

Yes, like health issues.

That certainly has kept me from doing all the things I had planned.

When you get to a certain point, you're happy if you get up in the morning, and you only feel bad. 🤪

Hauled a trailer load of steel and implements Friday, all loaded with the GC and performed great. First time using my bucket hooks all welded on the back and also did great. Not many glamour shots but here's one...

I don't remember which one of you posted about these telescoping stabilizers, but thanks for the tip! I just installed these, and I must say I'm psyched to use them!

I had to mount them backwards with the curved ends, mounted the other way they didn't fit well folded up.
But I can't imagine that being a problem when they're hitched up to something.

Haven't used my post hole auger in over 7 or 8 years. Spent at least an hour removing the hoe and wrestling my quick hitch onto the tractor only to find it doesn't fit the auger. Got the hitch removed and the auger wrestled on to find the driveshaft won't go on far enough for the lock to slip in place. I ran out of patience and energy. I will try to finish the job tomorrow.

Maybe just a little more finessing, but I'm just about done with that &$%# hole where that butternut log resided for four years.... Four 3-ton dump loads later.

Public Service Announcement:

I was at a Massey Ferguson dealership and another fellow came in to buy a "sight glass" for the rear transaxle cover of his GC1723E. It is just a piece of glass/plastic with a small metal cage inside and some sort of "rubber" seal around it, and it just presses in from the outside. This guy didn't notice that his fell off while mowing and kept running until the hydraulics died on him. Not sure how much hydraulic oil he lost (he bought 3-1/2 gallons) or if he caused any damage.

A dealership mechanic was at the parts counter and said he's seen it 3 other times!

Part number is 360658M1. For $26.24 I bought one to put on the shelf.
