Thanks for the update. Makes more sense now.

Ya think they'd have jumped up the height of the wires rather than keep paying to put them back up. But, that's all incidental I guess.
They only broke the wire once. They hit it a few other times. They broke the pole on the far end near the corn crib. They tore down the warning flags several times. We took down the electric to the garage, they could never get under it. It was only powering one of my cameras.
Not sure the year dad installed power to the well, etc. early pics of our old house shows a large water tank next to the side porch, fed from roof.
He did say he bought the wire from Sears catalog.
The first water line from the well was galvanized pipe. That was replaced with black plastic sometime in mid to late 70s. Have not found pics of dad running backhoe to dig for it, I remember there being a picture somewhere. What I been referring to as the barn by the house was originally a chicken house.

Is the surface water line to provide water for their construction, or is it routing around a water line that they need to disturb as part of laying the new gas line? Or something else entirely?

More equipment leaving. The pipe is buried all the way across our farm, and yesterday they dug across the road to lay the pipe across it. They will come back to do the steep hill on the property to our north, as they ended just past our line, and before the big valley.

This is the tank down below our farm, that the water will get pumped from.

Water line goes up the hill somewhere in these woods to get to our farm, which is above the red line.

pipeline is covered to the pile of pipes, from here it will take a sharp right turn down the hill. pics a bit blurry as they are clipped from a drone video.

I suspect just to see if he still could. He hasn’t been on tractor in about a year, since he mowed some last May or June. At least he was just on the flat near the house.
