Taught my son how to shim his valves today and do a leak down test

Well went for a ride to visit some friends yesterday, pretty hot the highest temperature I saw was 87 degrees Fahrenheit with very high humidity .
The visits went pretty well but found out one of the people I had intended to visit passed away about a month ago, he had been loosing weight so he went to see doctor, they found out he had pancreatic cancer and put him in hospital, a few days later he passed away, I believe he was about 86 years old.
Rode about 470 miles, other than the high heat it was a very nice ride.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Found out recently, my neighbour's brother has pancreatic cancer. He's one of those guys who has been naturally strong/ripped (no chemicals) all his life, and is not yet 60.

I hate when these reminders come along, but value them at the same time.....

No motorcycle yet, had a choice tractor or motorcycle and well. Right now living in the city the scoots work fine. 1982 Yamaha Riva CV80 79cc and 2020 Kymco Like 150cc. Both had around 100 miles when I got them in 2023, the Kymco has over 3k now. Once we get moved down to the new place not sure what I'll get for highway use.

Buddy of mine has a BMW 400GT scooter.. I did eventually want a GTS310 but after seeing the BMW might go that route if I stick to scooters since it will be for highway driving. That GTS would be awesome around town.

At 476 lbs, the BMW is heavier than my 800 cc sportbike. That's a non-starter for me.

I don't know whether a Honda Super Cub or Trail counts here as a motorcycle but I've been pricing them on Facebook Marketplace. There are an unusual number of ads claiming 300 miles of use. I can't believe so many people ride exactly 300 miles and decide to sell the bike. Can someone explain 300 mile buyers remorse to me?

Don't think I posted this here, apologies if I did.
Had to get rid of my '09 1700 Voyager as my knees and hip were getting sketchy. It bothered me having to sell it but not as much as it would have if I'd dropped it. I bought this instead, Can Am Spyder SE6 F3S, not much chance of dropping it....least I hope not LOL.
