You ever have success taking a picture of a grade? Up or down, it doesn't work.
Take a picture of the grade from the side of it looking across it.

Who plows the snow off the road? If it's not a county road, who owns it?
Each parcel is 20/40/80 (there are a very few exceptions of 5/10) and the logging trail meanders its way along the canyon from the bottom to the top. A 900 to 1000 climb. Each parcel it goes through has an easement allowing for access to landowners and emergency services further back. It is not law or statutory but common agreement that each landowner along the way maintains the road as to washouts, erosion, etc. This does not include snow removal. Fallen trees or rock too big to move by hand are a common risk to making an appointment on time.

The problem, it you consider it to be one, is that most ALL of the land owners are non-resident and never even visit their parcels let alone having equipment or even hand tools to do any maintenance. A few parcels may have a cabin on stilts or an RV on blocks. There are only two of us that live here year around so others "expect" that if there's a problem we will fix it. Which we end up doing so. In 15 years I have only plowed snow once and that was just lowering the bucket to 8" above the base and pushing through. The machine's tire tracks do the rest. The few who do come around to enjoy the solitude know better to come here in the winter. If I get snowed in I can fix it if I have to but opening the road to our place just creates an opportunity for something stupid to happen. We have gone two months without leaving. We'd be good for longer except would start getting low on livestock feed.

Today's peeve!
We just returned from Walmart, a clearance sign "Special Kitty 20 pound cat litter $3.87 normal price $9.98."
So I load the cart full, 20 of them and at register it rings up $210.28. (Shouldn't it be about $80?). So I ask a clerk to go with me, other end of store. "See?" And she takes a picture. Sign & exact product. She shows it to store manager who says they can't do that...the sign was meant for 20# bags and I got 20# containers! Exact same thing, just not in a bag. The stock person stacked what I got and forgot to remove the sign.
I'm sure I could call Corporate and get it for that price, but too much hassle.

That's amazing. I've had that happen a bunch of times and any store that made that mistake sold it to me at the posted price. Never have a had a store refuse to sell something that was their own mistake.

I have a few times. Most of the time it's a similar-but-different item (ie-different UPC), and someone didn't put up the right sign. Sometimes they'll give you the better price, sometimes not.
One time I was buying a set of mirrors from a chain autoparts store. This was in the days when price stickers were put on products. Apparently the price had gone up since this item was put out, so it scanned the new price. The clerk wouldn't budge, neither would the manager on duty.
I'm pretty sure state law requires merchants to honor the marked price, but these jokers weren't having any of it. I told them where they could put their mirrors. 🤬 :ROFLMAO:

I was thinking the same thing. If I had my camera I would have taken a picture, but I insisted a clerk go with me to prove I was being honest. The clerk took a picture and showed it to the manager who said no. I was sure they'd honor the price.
We've all bought things a customer put on the wrong shelf and I understand that...but this was different.
I'll just buy it from Tractor Supply like I normally do.
I've even gotten to the car and something in the basket I didn't pay for and return it. I couldn't sleep at night and steal something.

We bought a nice faucet for our Kitchen sink.
We got everything together and paid, they had to wait for it to drop ship from a warehouse.
We got a call that they sold it to us for less than they paid.
I had a picture of the sign with the price (and correct SKU).
They tried everything they could to delay and make us think they would not ship it.
We held out and it arrived almost 6 weeks later. (was supposed to arrive in 4 days).

Modern pet peeve: YouTube reaction videos, especially those titled "hears __ for the first time!", when __ is Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, or any other band that no one on earth can pretend having not heard before.

I've seen those posted on YT, I just pass them by. I'm too much of a dinosaur to even attempt to understand how the minds of the younger generations think concerning music. I suspect these videos are made by attention-seekers.
