Great TV adaptation of an even better book series. Lou Diamon Phillips was quite a change from the Henry Standing Bear described in the book series, I think I liked the version in the book better, but the rest of the characters were pretty true to the original.

The only thing I didn't like about the series was that, probably due to the pressure of getting really good viewership numbers in the first few episodes, they compressed way too much book content into each of the early episodes. It'd been better if they made each book into something like 2 - 4 episodes, long-form.

Yes, he was in Red Green for many years. Don't know about any crimes.
