Kioti CK2510H Intermittent No Start

I found this site by accident while searching for a answer to solve an intermittent no start condition. Kioti CK2510 115Hrs. After running the tractor for several hours, I would park it, shut off the engine. When I would come back to start, it would not start. This started a whole process of elimination of what the problem could be. Battery was 12.5 volts and passed the load test. Clean posts and ground post. Checked relays and they checked good. Started checking safety switches, PTO, Clutch, Seat and brake switch. Clean and sprayed with electronic cleaner and dried. I did by-pass the seat switch. Checked all fuses they are good. If I let the tractor sit for several days, it will start right up. But after using it whether for and hour or two, once it is turned off, it would not start. I then found a post titled "Bad Luck With Kioti CK25 Starting Problems" I read through the posts and started back at square one. After completing the first 3 steps, the tractor started. The problem is within the starter. Dead spot, Dirt on commutator, or a sticky Brush or a sticky Bendix. I have since removed the started and it's headed to the electric shop for repair or replacement. A big thank you to all the folks who provided imput in that thread

Probably your safety control module under your seat. It’s been known to go bad on those models.

It’s a box that takes all your safety circuit inputs then tells engine it’s ok to start - when turning key.

Hmmmm. I thought the seat safety switch was the only thing under the seat and that's been by passed. I'll look again this morning.

As an ass-side.....uhummmmm.........when absolute safety becomes all pervasive in every aspect of life, nothing will work and hence we can all be assured we are safe from everything!

Hmmmm. I thought the seat safety switch was the only thing under the seat and that's been by passed. I'll look again this morning.

You will need to remove the seat and the seat pan to get to the Safety Control Module. It's a electronic box mounted to the side of the transmission.

Problem solved this morning. The Safety Control Box is the issue. There is a revision to the old box. Original number TB15-0022A, the new number is TB15-0085B. See images. Also, be sure to place the ground strap on the mounting assembly first to create a great ground. Mine wasn't; it was installed after the box was installed by the factory.
