Satoh Beaver S373-D 4-wheel drive

I googled cub cadet 7194 then checked out the search results came upon www.tractor data.com and found everything matched my beaveriii-Satoh . I then googled for parts diagram, next I went on www.partstree.com phone 512-288-4355 (they have best parts diagrams)
Compared their parts numbers with parts numbers in my BeaverIII parts manual , I also went on eBay and ordered fuel injectors for 100.
The 3point hook-up parts are the same for both tractors. Hope this helps.

If you go onto the MTD Cub Cadet support of the website, type in your model as a 7194 and find a serial number yu can make up based on the tractordata.com info, they will give you the manuals for free download. Then you'll have the parts manual to order anything. :)

I ordered the parts book and repair
book when we bought the tractor. They were not cheap, I think our tractor are the same, mine has manual 4wheel drive and high gear this tractor must travel at 15 + mph'
these little tractors are work horses.

I'm just saying to snag the MTD Cub Cadet parts manuals too.

This way, you know all of the part numbers as a Cub Cadet to cross reference with your own manuals. And you can tell from the diagrams what is spot on and identical with the two machines. You will then have more than one source to find parts as well.

I have a Yanmar YM2610. The engine is in a John Deere JD850 and other machines. I grabbed all of the manuals related to those machines too. Owning a 45+ year old machine, you got to have sources to draw from, especially finding parts being out-of-stock or totally discontinued.

My Beaver is a S373-D, 3-cyl, 4-wheel drive selectable version from late 70's.
Had some wiring smoke and burns this winter and finally got parts to fix it.
Color and age on a few wires not readable since it has been painted over.
Many connectors were broken and a few wires burned and insulation cracked off.
I have the manual and have traced many of the wires.
It will crank and run but I want some advice about the wiring before I head off into the woods.
Got a new regulator for it and not sure if I have the wires hooked up correctly and need some help to verify.
The wire colors are as follows.

Alternator--------------------Regulator
wire color--------------------wire color

Blk/Y---------goes to--------Yellow wire
White--------goes to--------Blk wire
White/Red---goes to--------White wire
White/Blk----goes to--------Blk/W

Yellow Fuse line wire goes to Green wire and also has continuity to white/red wire at regulator
With switch on wire goes to Green wire and also has continuity to white/red wire at regulator

I have been through the manual several times.
Seems like a typo in at least one location in the repair manual.
It calls point 3 or L as being a Yellow/white lead when mine is a Yellow/green.
It also shows a 35 amp alternator when mine is 15 amp.
Who has more experience with wiring and can help me figure out if I have a couple of wires crossed.
The regulator does get warm when the tractor runs.
The battery voltage goes from about 12.5 to 14 when tractor runs.
Here are a few pictures of the manual and my notes.
Thanks for any advice and discussion.
It is normal for the new regulator to get warm?
I turned it off and disconnected battery till I get a good solid answer.
Don't want to guess and kill the old blue girl, she has been so good that past 40+ years.
Yes, I have replaced the fuse holder with a modern one, new lights and light switch.:)
