How to Recover a Lost Submersible Well Pump

Did I miss something? Is the 500’ of pipe already out? That is the hardest part. 20-25 years ago means there probably will be 20’ sections of pvc down 500’. So 25 pieces to pull. If the pump is broken off the at the bottom it won’t weight much. When you do it normally, the pipe is filled...

How to Recover a Lost Submersible Well Pump

If you have never done a pump replacement I would say leave it till you can get help. If you have replaced a pump before then you know the steps. Pull the pipe sections 1 at a time and get it out with a boom and pipe adapter and blocking/lift plate on the head. Once all the pipe is out you...

    Husqvarna Chain loosening problem

I tighten it when I sharpen it after use. If I sharpen it and it won’t lay flat for sharpening it give it a 1/4 turn to snug it up.

    Husqvarna Chain loosening problem

The 10 year old chain on one of my stihls needs to be tighten up every couple of cord or so. I have cut 100 cords with it, it is the original chain. Just tightened it up today. Pretty normal for me I Guess. At some point I won’t be able to tighten anymore. I guess that is when I will...

Why are replacement parts so incredibly expensive?

Agreed, but there is a lot more things to fail on a pto shaft then a couple disks and springs that could cause a failure. The PTO shaft replacement complete is $2k….

Why are replacement parts so incredibly expensive?

My woods mower bolts are $40 a piece and blades are $120! It is just a 60”! For what that mower costs new now, I could buy just bolts, blades and a gearbox…. And would be the same amount!

Why are replacement parts so incredibly expensive?

I bought a used Bush Hog 3008 this year to speed up my mowing. It was a well used unit with some hard use. I got what around here was a decent price. I figured I would have to put a little money into it to keep it going. So I have been looking at replacing some components and just can’t...

    Bear Trouble

I had a similar problem years ago. Bear destroyed everything on my property it could. Leveled 2 out buildings. Bear wasn’t scared of me at all, I tried everything. Wildlife officer said I couldn’t do anything about property damage. I will tell you what works 100% every single time. Buy...

We had a real cold one last winter here. We had 10 days in the high -30s and 15 days straight below 0 and close to 60 days staying below freezing. But we only have about 80 days where it doesn’t get below freezing a year… -7 for this picture

Pto not shutting off is strange. All the cables/levers are adjustable. How are you telling it is not shutting off? 4wd is engaging when you press the brakes. Normal for newer big tractors, it is to help you stop by engaging the front axle. adjust the air seat, it rides like a tractor. No...

Buying a new truck ? Times have changed.

Wouldn’t own a dodge, ouch? Here are mine, bought it new in June of 2000. 327k miles 6sp still has the original clutch. And for fun my other dodge built the same year as I was…. I guess I keep trucks for a while, I will be buried in the 01.

I have found I have to travel nationwide to find what I want. That is what the internet is for, besides forums;)….Depending on where you live will dictate what is on lots around you. Automatic height adjustment brush hog

I think something utilizing the draft control or design a new draft control mechanism on the tractor would be a winner. I have often wondered, sitting there mowing for countless hours, if draft control can be used with brush cutting implements and how to maybe do it.

    Farmall 120C

I use the lever on the right side base of the seat, next to the draft control. There are 2 levers. Push both all the way down. Also push the quick raise, right above the throttle, all the way forward. 3pt Lift will be full down, in ”float” mode. Pull the outside of the 2 levers at the base...

    Farmall 120C

yes, mine has the fast lift and the lever by the draft control and the out back control. The fast lift I used for the first few days. But it seems that it is best to use it when running an implement to pull it up and set it down quickly. If left in the middle of up or down it is not...

    Farmall 120C

Yes, like it a lot. But it doesn’t have anything to adjust the speed of the lift arms either. Mine is too fast. But I don’t have any implements under 1500 pounds. They fall pretty fast.

My 75c engages 4wd when the brake is depressed, not ever when turning. There are 2 controls for the 3 pt raise and lower. The fast control lever, which I don’t use anymore at all, and the height lever, which is what I always use. The fast control lever I have pushed forward all the time. I...

Enlarge category 1 sized holes to accommodate category 2 pins.

Definitely leaning this way. All my cat 2 implements work the same with 2 sided connections with a pin that slides thru. I guess that is because they are all over 1500 pounds each.
  35. stumblinhorse

Enlarge category 1 sized holes to accommodate category 2 pins.

it is the type of attachment where the arm is between the 2 holes per pin. You have to put the sleeves in the arms lower the arms and then put in the pins.

Enlarge category 1 sized holes to accommodate category 2 pins.

Have a new to me large heavy 3 pt implement. My Case is cat 2. The top link holes fit the cat 2 pin but the lowers don’t. Definitely cat 1 sized. There are 2 sets of holes for pins. I hate the sleeves since they often times slide side to side and are a nuisance it get on when attaching. I...
