Make sure your PTO shaft isn't too long. That could damage your tractor. Also, most rotary cutters I've seen have kind of a swivel at the top link so it can give some slack on uneven ground. Please post a picture of yours. If you don't have that, or its travel is insufficient, you may...

I've removed powder coat by using carb cleaner or laquer thinner. The trick is to soak it into a rag, wrap it around the part, then seal it in a plastic bag. The bag prevents the solvent from evaporating. Let soak for an hour and the coating comes off like a grape peel.

Mowed a section of land on neighbors property

My prediction is that at some point the OP will do this and not tell anyone. He will continue to be entertained by the posts on this tread.

    RK24 stuck in 4WD

I'll have to try that as an experiment. It feels kind of like my younger days with muscle cars, some had 4 speed transmissions that were stiff, and some were sloppy. It doesn't seem dysfunctional or bound up.

    RK24 stuck in 4WD

It's just a sticky mechanism. It's not that it takes a lot of force, but a steady pull is not as effective as a sharp pull/yank with no more force, Kind of like the difference between a tire wrench and an impact wrench.

    RK24 stuck in 4WD

My 40hp New Holland is sometimes difficult to get in or out of 4wd. If I pull hard or push hard on the lever - nada, I have to push or pull sharply. Kind of SNAP it in or out of 4wd.

    Chain sharpening difference?

I have the dealer sharpen after about 5 hand filings. This has been my file guide journey. Touched up the chain, but pretty inconsistent by angle and side to side Not much better Improved angle and side to side consistency, but funky to use Worked great! Roller helps keep angle...

Are CUT Manufacturers pricing themselves out of the market?

Chickens usually practice such good personal hygiene, so apparently they are being infected by the CIA

Mowed a section of land on neighbors property

A snowmobile club trail goes through our 80 acre hunting property. We have a written agreement (not easement), they do a nice job of maintaining the trail, and pay us $50/year for the 1/2 mile stretch. They are good at communicating with landowners. They have lots of stay on trail signage...

At some point, on your schedule, on your terms, you could always widen that section of trail about 10' or so. Takes about 2 hours +? No harm no foul.

Also, maybe consider a nozzle that can also shoot out a narrow stream of water so you don't go through all your water quickly. It's amazing how much fire one of these could put out with a small stream of water..
