I was a Police Officer for 30 years and I probably lock and secure keys more than the regular Joe. I remember one morning we got a call of a stolen vehicle from a gas station. A warning about LG Appliances in regards to warranty service

Around here we have self checkouts because they can't find workers to run the registers. Other industry is paying more so that leaves a shortage at the retailers.

    Grass - gravel border ideas

Glyphosate only kills foliage that it contacts. It can't kill patches in your lawn unless you spray those patches. Roots are not a factor. You can spray roots of a tree and it won't do a thing.

Hay Farmers getting out of farming

My sister's family milks about 1200 cows. They don't need to buy much fertilizer because they are able to fertilize their fields with the manure. Milk prices had not been good for several years but they are still at it.

I've got the I've got that Granberg 12v model that he rated highly, but you can get it much cheaper someplace besides Amazon. I believe I paid about $80 about 5 years ago. I sharpen mine in my vice on the bench and use a portable jump box to power it.

Okay this is odd. The Vultures are back.

Around here the bald eagle population is increasing and I didn't realize that eagles would eat roadkill until I saw one on a dead deer a while back. With the buzzards gone now, they don't have much competition.

    What's wrong with Canadians?

Around here they report the forecasted highs/lows and then state what wind chills could be. It's not hard to sort it out.

Hay Farmers getting out of farming

My wife and I stack about 400 bales(one cutting) by hand for our horses. It comes from the field that I have. The farmer down the road makes it and he gets the rest and sells it to Amish in the area. He uses a collector so he doesn't have to handle too much. I'm 63 and I do notice it gets less...

Okay this is odd. The Vultures are back.

We only have Turkey Vultures up here and they're gone now. They usually come back in March. I've heard of Black Vultures that are further south and I'm wondering if that is what TM is talking about. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Black_Vulture/photo-gallery/305292761

    Ugh!! Water Well contractors...

Do you know why that is? Are they drilling for new homes or are old wells/pumps going bad? Not much new home construction around here now and I don't know of problems with existing wells.

Floor Options For Pole Barn (Not Concrete)

I had a 56x40x14 building built about 12 years ago and was going to skip the concrete floor but thought that I could afford it better at that time than when I would be retired. With prices now, I'm glad I didn't wait. You mentioned mud in a dirt floor and I still have some dirt in a horse barn...

    TC33D Possible heating issue

I have a NH 1530, which is an older but similar model and the temperature gauge stopped working a couple of years ago. I keep the radiator clean and flushed the radiator so I know it is not overheating. I have not figured out why it stopped working. One of these days I will try to analyze it...
