Welded in pieces and started bodywork until my sander failed, I guess it was inevitable since the sander was almost 50 years old

Back at it again, since I raised the hood I now need to fix the hood and add metal in places that I originally notched out.

Finally after almost 3 years, l’m back at it. I had noticed that that I had placed the hood in the wrong location, should be above the frame not below it so I raised it up 2” which meant I had to raise steering wheel, also installed a bigger steering box

Changed head gasket today You can see where the gasket is damaged And where is blew by on the head Clean up head And installed new gasket, notice the size difference of the new gasket. Ready to mow again

Seems like it is the head gasket, known problem with this style engine, a design problem with the lack of head bolts in one area. Cost of new gasket is about $25 and it is pretty easy to change

Must be a new thing with them, got a Briggs that is in my replica project that is over 50 years old and still runs great

The oil I’m using is recommended for it, been using it for 7 years

Did work on bracket for exhaust, worked on hood clearance from muffler and steering shaft and mounted the slow moving vehicle sign Replica is slowly coming along

Got around to making the slow moving vehicle sign. Started with this. Scaled it down to this.

Made up a draw bar bracket and installed

Drive belt off motor was slipping, installed an adjustment bolt to hold belt tensioner tight

Finally got back to project and got throttle cable installed. Had to install support bracket for cable.

Here are some pics of the B being loaded onto the trailer, tractor just fits between the trailer fenders.

Got a chance to pressure wash dirt and grease off of tractor. And after almost 30 years of sitting in storage, the old B is poppin again.

Mag had no spark so I set up a little test stand to help me find the problem. Cleaned every thing up, new plugs, points and condenser and got a real good spark now.

There are holes already in the porch where the previous owners had it done, have been told it doesn't last and from the look at my porch that is true. The 8 ton jack that I'm using is from the old farm days so it is not much of a loss if I bury it in cement and my way is a whole lot cheaper.
