I would tend to leave it be. Check and change the fuel filter often until you are sure it will not dissolve putting particles into the fuel. If the filter shows any contamination then you will have to remove the tank. Or you may just want to remove the tank and the lost part for peace of mind. GL

I believe you are correct. Simply disconnect the 2 wires, hold them together and see if the tractor starts without a person in the seat. If the wires are push on spades plug them both into a small push in fuse.

Not saying you are doing this because it sounds like you have a belt tension issue? But mowing too fast in too thick material will cause the belts to slip. Spray on belt dressing helps. Shorter belts may be exactly what you need. How much deflection is there in the belt when it is tightened ?

We've had this discussion many times here. I believe spaced front tires do help with stability. The front axle pivots until it hits the stops. If the tires are spaced out they hit the stops sooner. Of course, to each their own.

My 52 hp MX Kubota did not have adjustable wheels. I put 3" spacers on the rear and 2" spacers on the front per the spacer manufacturers recommendation. It made a big improvement in the way it feels on hills. I don't have any numbers just the very real pucker factor. Buy the best quality spacers...

I ran my engine speed up to 2500-2600 while using the chain mower yesterday and today. That is very close to PTO 540 rpm marker and the mower cut better than it had previously on lower rpms. #7 hardened chain holding up well so far, may get a second season out of them before replacement.

Ensure the maximum discharge limit exceeds you application. LifePO4 is a good battery chemistry. We use them in golf carts, gate cams, RC toys, remotes and more. Some are many yrs old. The main thing to remember is store at or about 50% capacity not full like a lead acid battery.

I use a rock bucket. Most of them are 3" spacing. A 3x6 rock will fall through which is not good. I welded 5/8 rebar midspan between the 3" spaced ribs and that bucket held too much dirt. Rock buckets are a good idea but not the perfect solution

Here I'm waiting for rain to mow. No rain rain in 3-4 months has left the fields tinder dry. Once it rains it can be more safely cut for the end of the season.

Nice thing about the set up you are considering is you can put diesel additives in the tank before you fill and you have the mobility to fuel the tractor wherever you need to. I have a 100 gallon tank on skids. An electric pump with a auto shut off fuel nozzle is the bomb. Enjoy the build and use.

My last tractor got an average of 50 hrs a month over 14 yrs of ranch work. Got a newer Kubota MX5200 last year and put about 250 hrs on it, some hours were hired out for mowing etc. Never had a cab so it sits during the hottest and coldest days.

We used whiskers or feathers on grade stakes set at grade, red for cut, blue for fill. Usually set 10 ft apart, pretty easy to cut and fill as needed. These stakes were at finished grade, set with a laser level. Grade like a professional. Get professional results...
