    Hold brake, step on reverse it will start to move and release brake..... works for me. Little harder with the BX where brake and HST are on the same side. Normally us the loader to hold until it starts to move. Only an issue on steeper grades, I have plenty.

    I use mine to carry saw logs and anything else too long to fit in the bucket. Pretty much hay spear/pallet fork in my use. Real handy to lift and carry the concrete railroad ties I have all over the place. The spears dig under them really nice and I can carry 3 at a time.

    Better never look at RV wiring. All romex on every one I ever worked on for 120 circuits. Wedge connection to romex on every outlet. 12VDC is mostly copper stranded and crimped in them. It's ugly behind that paper thin paneling.

    I'd bet you can match the relay to something at Digikey, etc. Get the number off the relay and search that. Or just wire a switch to the solenoid to shut it down. Momentary push button would be my choice, hold until stopped then release. Not hard to spec and use a timer relay if you prefer.

    I don't know your area but in many places around FL the ground water level is less than 4' deep. I know of places that if you dig foot down, it will fill with water. I would want to be sure that the ground water stays well below any level I want to build to during rain events.

    Having used both, HST for me. Steep ground, thick woods, deep ditches to clean, lot of loader work, little mowing. Flatter ground I might use a gear tractor but for keeping up with roads, trails, round bales and firewood I personally found HST to more useful.
