John Deere rep going to take tractor

Wow. I sure wouldn't purchase a tractor from that dealer network. And, an experience like that might just push me to a different brand. Mike

So, what happens to the grease?

^^^^ I have one of those too! Great tool/fitting to have on the gun. OP: Good question. I’ve been wondering the same thing myself... Mike

    New LX3310HSDC arrived...

Congrats!!! The LX is an awesome tractor! I’d go with the 60” bucket in that machine. Mike

My new L 4060 is coming

^^^^ I’m sorry to hear that. I’m waiting on a tractor from my dealer too. It’s supposed to be delivered next week. I know they’re backlogged on their deliveries too. Seems to be the norm since COVID. Be patient, it’ll get there and you’ll be super happy when it finally arrives! Mike

Best CUT attachment for this kind of earthmoving?

^^^^ I'd suggest the 54" Box Blade for the B2301 with industrial tires (that's the size I have for my B2601 with 2" spacers and R14 tires). You probably could go larger (definitely smaller) but, you don't want to overpower the tractor and stall-out with a Box full of dirt. A 60" would be max...

Thinking of buying a sub compact

Kubota doesn’t currently advertise 0% / 84mo but, my local dealer and a Kubota dealer in Oregon both offered that financing option to me for my recent 2021 L2501 purchase. Mike

Bx1860 won't even click when I turn the key

^^^^ I had a no start issue with my B2601. Turned out to be a wire was loose on one of the safety switches. Have you checked all the switches and wiring? Mike

Best CUT attachment for this kind of earthmoving?

Congratulations on your new tractor! Great advise here in this thread! I'm a newbie and I've been working my B2601 very similar to what you will be doing with your B2301. I'd definitely recommend a box blade with ripper teeth. I've used the box blade on my B2601 to successfully move earth...

Thinking of buying a sub compact

I really like the MF 1725M. I test drove that model and I really liked it! I have JD, Kubota and MF dealers all within 30 miles. I cross shop all three brands. I really like the MF tractors but, my Kubota dealer has been amazing. They’ve earned all my business thus far. Mike

Thinking of buying a sub compact

Worth it? Yes. And, I think you’re looking at the right machines! Though, as others have suggested, you may want to consider the BX23S if you feel you can get some use from a backhoe. I’m on 5 acres of undeveloped forest. When my house was built, they only cleared the area for my septic...

    Kubota L6060 Engine failure

^^^^ Agreed. Although, as ridiculous as it seems, I can understand Kubota requesting a fuel sample to determine/rule-out fuel as a culprit before making a decision to fund the repairs. To me, that’s Kubota doing their due diligence before making their final decision. That said, based on the...

    Delivery Day for the B2601.......

^^^^ That's what I'm hearing... I was pleasantly surprised that on my recent visit, my local dealer (Olympia WA), had quite a variety of tractors available and in stock. Mike

Ordered a set of R14’s for the BX

PICS!!!! Please post some pics once you get them installed. I'd like to see a BX on R14's. I have R14's on my B2601 and they'll be on my L2501 too. Great tire! Mike

Buying Advice Kubota new L3560 grand

^^^^ Thanks for posting! The Dealer can really make or break your overall ownership experience. I'm sorry you have a weak dealer. That's awful. The Grand L (L3560) is certainly on my future purchase list...once I get my garage/barn constructed (which will be several years down the road). Mike

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

^^^^ Thanks! I’m anticipating that! I’ll have to check out the grill guard and that’s a great idea liner/mat modification. I already have the RH grab handle. I’ll install that when the tractor arrives. Talked to the dealer yesterday. They’re still waiting on parts and they’re backed up...

    Stihl KM 131R kombi review

The Stihl 131R Kombi is literally my favorite tool. I have 4 shafts all fitted with different tools (string, brush cutter, pole saw & chainsaw brush blade). The brush cutter is amazing and I've cleared well over an acre of shrubs, small saplings, weeds and grass with that thing. It's insane...

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

This is true! But, I'm gonna stick with the L2501. Down the road, if I need more tractor, I'll buy a new one. At least, the decision is mine and I'll have no one else to blame. Mike

    54” MMM VS. 60”

I have the 60" deck on my B2601. It works great! No issues. But, I haven't mowed with a 54" so I can't compare it to the 60". I can tell you mowing with the 60" deck is a lot faster than mowing with a 48" deck... Mike

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

I'm gonna look into this! Thanks for the suggestion! I've got plenty of logs to use, lol Mike

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

A two piece dolly makes sense and I could see that working. Although, a setup like that might be a little too complicated for me to fabricate. Definitely keep us updated if you get this figured out. Mike

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

I believe both Buckets will fit on either tractor. Both have the Quick Attach and I measured them at the dealership and they appear to be the same. Mike

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

I’m assuming it will. Both my B2601 and L2501 have the Quick Attach Loader/Bucket. However, I would like the ability to use both Buckets on the L2501. I can’t do that if I have to store the B2601 Loader with a Bucket attached to the loader. Mike

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

A dolly would be awesome! But, your experience is why I haven’t even tried to remove the loader without the bucket...I’m not sure if I could muscle it back in place. I have a hard enough time muscling implements around, lol....which is why I have a quick hitch! I’m glad you’ve spent some time...

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

Totally! I’m not necessarily the type to make something that could solve this issue but, if I ever get the time, I’d like to research it. I would really like to store the loader without the bucket Mike

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

^^^^ Great video! Thanks for sharing! I can’t remember viewing that specific video before, but I watch the Messick’s videos often (I ordered my right side grab handle and hardware from Messicks as a gesture to payback for all the helpful videos I’ve watched from them). It’s true, I would have...

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

^^^^ Thanks for your reply and sharing your experience! Dang, that’s what I figured. I don’t necessarily want to use manual labor to get it back on...I may have to rethink my strategy or install a receiver as you have. Mike

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

I'm curious to learn if it is possible to remove the Front End Loader without the Bucket attached and if the Loader assembly will remain stable if stored without the Bucket? The reason I'm considering this, is because I don't plan on storing my B2601 with the Loader attached and I may want to...
