    New Tractor Sales Are Declining

Without political connotations or social views this thread has ran it's course. The decline, rise, or stagnant level of tractor sales are unavoidably linked to them.

Define "political"? I've saw you post things that I considered political, but you probably didn't. For that reason I'm not in favor of the "you hurt my feelings" response by reporting.

    death of regular cab pickups

There's a F150 short bed in town with a slightly extended cab. Not sure about a door opening. Has an additional window on each side like a normal extended cab but it's only about 6" wide. Fairly new truck. I'm guessing 2010 or so. I think it would be very handy for a driver with a long...

Dealer changed the price 2 hours prior to delivery!

If you meant me, I'm in that store at least 3 times per month. Rare to get out for less than $50. So I spend 2 minutes doing the survey and save $10. $5 per minute equals $300 per hour. So, yep, that's what I do. 🤪

    Buying Advice on Hydraulic links

Had a "hydraulic guy" once tell me if the cylinder extends too fast it will draw air from the "tank" line and cause this. His recommendation was restrictor washers to slow the cylinder movement. I believe this will work. But it will severely restrict the cylinder speed. That might, or might...

My Son rents space in a 100x70x16 pole barn with bookshelf design. Metal outside/inside. Spray foam insulation. Sits on an open ridge. It racks during 30mph wind. You can hear it. If you lean against a wall you can feel it. Pretty sure they didn't use blocking at the ends of the shelves...

  181. ovrszd

    Barndominium/Shop or "real" House?

No, cooling the floors that way won't work.. especially upstairs. I just assumed you would have an HVAC system to heat/cool the living area. With scissor trusses you could put the ductwork above the ceiling? If not it would have to be under the floor. Another option is mini splits. Google...

    Barndominium/Shop or "real" House?

I should have read down... you can certainly use hydronic heat for your living space. It will require some additional construction insulation and radiant barriers. No big deal. If you do that you will certainly want a third heater. What are you going to do for AC?
  184. ovrszd

    Barndominium/Shop or "real" House?

The way I understand it his living area is not hydronic heated. Maybe I missed something. Zones don't require additional heaters. Just additional circuits/pumps/thermostats.
  185. ovrszd

    Barndominium/Shop or "real" House?

I'd try to put the hydronic floor heat setup in the shop bathroom. It'll easily fit on 5ft of wall space. Could be compressed onto 4ft. You'll only need two water heaters. Domestic and floor heat system are completely separate.

And a powerline pole in the middle of the field. The self operated vehicle must be given the data from all other vehicles that have been in that field. For example, the combine went around that powerline pole. So the follow up tillage tractor knows to not go there.

Ummm,,,, we got Fiber. Our WiFi is hooked up. Our service is worse. I'll give the provider time to work out any "kinks" that might be the cause. If it doesn't improve in the next month I'll start complaining. My point was/is, laying fiber did nothing to improve our situation.

I can't think of a logistical reason to do them in the shop. Your eave is plenty high enough to give you tall ceiling height. Might be some asthetics if that matters to you? I don't think it would be much harder to install the ceiling. If the center is in the middle of a panel I'd just try...
