    Drawbar pulling question

Because your engine is usually over the front end. Look at the size axle shaft in rear compared to front. The front is not made to handle near the power of the rear. You can pull backwards, but not in 4x4. Ive seen trucks grenade transfer cases and seen tractors break axles. Then you have...

Hydraulic couplers are too tight to move by hand special pliers/wrench ?

My dads that way. He was tough for a long time, though. You can keep a big cheap crescent wrench on your tractor. I believe ours says " Squirrel Brand" on the handle. But adjust it open to just catch the collar sleeve and smack it with your heel of your hand and knock sleeve back. Also drop...

    5th wheel or gooseneck

Find some fuel stops in Florida. Last time I was there cleaning up after a storm, diesel was hard to find. Some regular gas stations had it but you won't fit a camper. I was hauling a dump trailer.

    5th wheel or gooseneck

Well, 5th wheel is easier to back into and hook up. You may even be able to see it as you back it up. I don't know what tool box or whatever you have. You won't see a gooseneck unless in a reg cab no tool box. Plus if you have a GN ball already, you'll have the best of both worlds.

    5th wheel or gooseneck

Well, we have a gooseneck that is light on the front. That one clangs a lot when empty. So much he bought air bags to lift the front axle when empty. I don't bother me but him and dad can't stand it. It's bad enough that you'll hear that coming before you hear the truck. Fifth wheel will be...

How to seal a 4' x 4' wood box that holds water?

Fifty years ago we used red wood boards on houses because it was affordable and lasted. The lasting part is still the same but I think the affordability has changed a wee bit. Get a $5.00 kiddie pool from dollar General. Build a treated box and line the inside. Use ICF blocks. Lots of...

What creates "bad diesel" fuel ?

Because old engines have 8 to 1200 psi injectors. New ones with computers run 24,000 or so. Fuel must be clean. Can't you see how tractor mileage has increased so much in the last few years? I didn't think so.
