    Increasing Width Rear Wheels

On my YM2310 it appears as though I can flip the inner rims to gain about 3 or 4 inches of width on each side, am I dreaming or is this doable.

    Starlink

Checked out Starlink and signed up for notification last year then received a notification that it was available in my area that included a disclaimer about trees that killed it. As I am typing our local Electric Coop is outside now installing fiber drops from the house to the street so where...

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

If you look at their online videos they recommend that the top link pin should be slightly behind the lower pins and make sure to level the mower (left to right) with the adjustable down link. The roller is adjusted to suit conditions and the skids should be raised above a level surface as they...

Anyone else have an unusually large number of hummingbirds this year?

We had lots at our Jersey shore home and out here we have a very late dusk facing the Pacific and they are all over the evening sky. I'll have to ask my sister about her farm in Rhode Island and the bats.

Anyone else have an unusually large number of hummingbirds this year?

It's a union thing, Bats have laid clam to evening mosquitos.

Anyone else have an unusually large number of hummingbirds this year?

I have a number of Artichoke plants bordering my garden area that I let flower every year (enormous flowers) and the Hummingbirds go crazy over them, my outdoor lights up the area and they are full body into the flowers 10 pm in the evening taking turns like they are drunk on nectar. Amazing to...

Same thing down here, I doubt we will even hit 70 here today, like 51 degrees here now.

Pacific North West - Excessive heat warning issued

Been cold here all spring and now that summer is here it's even cooler. I doubt we will break 80 here this weekend.

    Bush hog breaking shear pins

Since as you say it's been beat on you might want to check and see if all the blades are reasonably matched.

    Cruise Control

Fulfilled one of my wishes just now, a new seat and my boney old butt is happier. I hear you on the simplicity of YM and power steering is a nice feature that was installed on mine. Definitely have to figure out a phone and cup holders.

    Tractor canopy

Ya know, I was thinking how hard would it be to pickup an old S10, Toyota, Ranger ect. camper shell and just cut the top section off and use some rubber edging on the cut, then mounted on a frame. The shells are all over craigslist and FB Marketplace.

    Best Shop Vice?

There are always a good selection of older well made Vises on FB Marketplace and generally of a much higher quality then the Chinese castings out there.

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

Picked up the same mower unit 3 weeks ago and other than the el crapo chinese belts it came with, it performs quite well. I love the way it chews the living crap out of everything it touches. I have a replacement NAPA kevlar belt # if your interested.

    Winch

I too am planning a winch for the front of my Yanmar for similar reasons, to get me out of trouble. I have a nice 9K winch sitting in the garage and I came across this winch mount that will provide a nice starting point. In my Jeep I have it setup with a dual post high CCA battery and has...

    Strange belt failure

Had the same issue with my Flail mower last week, Chinese crap belts were less then 3 hours old and just basically melted. I had to use a wire knot brush on the angle grinder to clean the cooked remains out of the pulley. Took the belt down to my local NAPA and they set me up with a set of...

With regard to actual heat transfer H2O is the best as he stated, cooling systems regardless of application are de-rated as the percentage of Glycol increases.

Wooden bridge for 2000# tractor to cross creek

If you can try and find a sawmill that can cut up some spruce for you, there is a mill in Drain just off the 5 you could try. Spruce is tough stuff and is traditionally used for scaffold planking and really takes a beating.

Wooden bridge for 2000# tractor to cross creek

Where are you in the world, anywhere near sawmills in lumber country. With the lumber prices being what they are for something like that I would probably source full dimension 2" thick or more Spruce planks.

Any HVAC Experts On Board? Lennox?

As suggested the T-stat location can be an issue but also look at the thermostat instructions and see if the stat has an adjustable anticipator which sets the rate of temp rise or drop and either turns the ac on or off base on the temp change rate.

    DIY Oil transfer pump

One of the tricks is to remember where you put it and on occasion that's the part that pisses me off, when you know dam well that there is one in there somewhere. Worked with #1 son last weekend adding cruise control to his motorcycle and he showed up totally prepared. Finished everything up...

"best of all not loaded down with the sensor/computer control so that mechanically inclined owners can perform necessary mechanical work" Bingo, this is why I personally go this route. Nothing fun about having a modern motorized vehicle go into limp mode.

I did my research and ultimately used Arizona Tractor in Chandler AZ. Spent some time looking at Tractors from the place in Ellensburg Wa. and another place in Oregon. Spoke to Fredricks also but when I told him Oregon shipping the conversation cooled and basically told me I was on my own and...

Finally realized I was spitting into the wind with basic homeowner type of equipment so it was time to get something with a bit of muscle. Should keep me busy around here over the summer. CHipper for a YM 155D

I'm new here so I'm gonna christen this topic with another 3 point chipper that is actually rated at a minimum 15 HP at the pto. Either way the hp is on the lite side for a power hungry attachment. https://betstco.com/product/fh-bx42-product/
