    In my case I plan on two 8' panels to span 6'. Each panel will have 6 - 6X6 and 7 - 2X4 to make up about 4' wide. It will be eastern hemlock or southern yellow pine and weigh less than 1000 lbs - probably around 800 with green lumber less with dry. I will place it like this. gg

    Have you seen the simple design used for skidder bridges. These are for 30,000 lb loads so can be scaled down for your use. They are 4' panels for mobility. I plan on making one using this concept 8' wide using 6x6's spaced with 2x4's.

    For my long gravel road that is not always frozen float like a truck plow is way better. I used a standard old Fisher truck plow and mounted the push plate below and behind the SSQA plate to get the blade close to the tractor. More work but in my situation well worth it gg

    I like to work off of the carry all when I go vertical for the big rounds. They slide nicely on the deck so it is easy to position them and I don't have to hold up the unsupported end of the block to make it align with the beam it just sits there on it's own. gg
