My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

That's a good size tractor. The tires on the rear are pretty beefy. Is that tractor the same size as the current 4 series models? Please explain the abbreviation TEN and FIVE.

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

Deere is notoriously inattentive to compact tractor shoppers; attentive to Big Ag buyers. That has been my experience with them. I don't really like Deere as a company or the philosophy on which they are going to market but I can't deny that they build a good product that I happen to like a lot.

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

No that is antiquated technology that has been obsolete for many many years. The most bare bones PTO offered these days is Live PTO.

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

Jeff your timing of this reply about WEIGHT could not have been more on point. I finally realized tonight why you have been harping on this so much. What I figured out is weight is what defines the class of tractor you're looking at as well as it's capabilities. I kept looking at horsepower and...

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

CADplans it's a one stage clutch meaning when you press the clutch in to change gears the PTO stops. Deere ruined that tractor.

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

Coobie, do you have any personal experience with Toro products? I took a look at the Toro Grounds Master front mount mowers last night but I am wondering if that would be rugged enough to stand up on rougher terrain. My property is not a golf course.

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

Yeah I can see where me mentioning the Ford 3000 could be a little confusing. My point with that was they were not exactly a full size compact tractor and they offered a lot of PTO horsepower in comparison to what they are offering today. However, they are also not as small as the Deere 3 series...

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

Coobie thanks for your recommendations. I am actually considering the Toro option that you suggested. I actually was not aware of that option until you pointed it out. I also learned last night when I was doing research on it that they offer a flail mower attachment for it which is what I want...

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

The real question is why on earth would John Deere build a tractor with a transmission driven PTO? That tractor is useless for anything other then pulling wagons and carts around.

My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

It has crossed my mind and I know for a fact that they build the European spec tractors in Augusta but my intuition tells me that Deere would never go for that.

    Warranty Claims & Reliability

I want to provide my own feedback. I attempted to contact Kioti Tractor/Daedong USA a week and a half ago on September 13th by both phone and email and was never responded to. My Thoughts On Modern Day Tractors

I have been in the market searching for a tractor for 2 years now to use in a turf application. What started out looking like plethora of options has now come to the realty that nothing in the market exactly fits or meets my needs. The problem with the U.S compact tractor industry is all the...

I was doing some comparative research tonight and I happened to come across Bad Boy's Tractor Warranty. I think it is a perfect example of what we have been discussing. It's clear after reading this warranty how little confidence Bad Boy has in the electronics on their tractors. 2021 LIMITED...

Agreed. The problem facing the consumers of this compact market segment is the high technology electronics that the federal government has pushed the tractor manufacturers into using to meet their final tier IV emissions standards. If you look at the industry as a whole, all the manufacturers...

    L2501 vs LX2610

Jeff I know you are the wise sage of this forum but I have to challenge your formula on this one just a little. In most cases you are probably right. Negotiating for a new tractor?

I have a lot of experience dealing with Kubota in this way now and what I have learned is there is no negotiating with Kubota dealers period. Flail size for Kubota L3130

There are no 6 foot flails that I am aware of that you can adequately run on a tractor with PTO horsepower that low. If so, they will have very tiny diameter rotors and would probably not be worth the trouble and expense of having one. There is absolutely no way at all you could run that LP...

BC I have been experiencing the exact same thing where I live and this was happening before Covid ever started.
