    Small Hydraulic Fluid Leak

BFC, Why chance it? If you void the warranty chasing a small leak, what have you gained? Try talking to a dealer!

Spring carnage on the tree farm

spruce, Thanks for sharing: other than just saying, 'I get it,' I can't help you. Remember, what you're doing is a different choice from having a factory job for 30 years that you have to drive 15 miles each way in traffic to get to. maybe could be worse.

    Hydraulic Pump Upgrade (Deplorable Diesel)

Question to PCABE5: since I have an XG3140, the comment, "Fits but not recommended for LS ..., XG3140" makes me wonder why. Please explain! Thanks, John

I really appreciate reading the replies of the well-informed members of this forum: stuff to learn even if I'm not having the same problem. Thanks all!

Thanks, GS650, I was typing too much, and missed your post. I missed the beginner training class, but the Forum has been lots of help. Thanks to everyone!

    MT225E

Yes a valve is there, but it's either very touchy across a smaller range than I've been trying, or I have something else out of whack. I've stopped dealing with the outfit from which I bought the tractor because they seem much more interested in sales than service: below the seat are two levers...

    MT225E

Good to hear, thanks; I have not mastered fine movements of 3-point lifting, since so far, the adjusting I've tried results in implements dropping hard & raising fast: 1/2" & smaller increments are beyond me, but maybe I'm asking too much.

    MT225E

I hope somebody can find it because I think my XG3140 doesn't have float - the manual doesn't help much, afaic.

    Leaky loader hydraulic hose coupler....

Yes, I have. I called my dealer, who had no suggestions (learned that they had no idea which brand of quick disconnect fittings were installed - mine are Stucchi), then did the same sort of maintenance the you did, although the first time I tried, the fitting still leaked, but the second try...

    Tire Ballasts, Weights &c...

My dealer advocated a beet-derived fill product, claiming that corrosion would not be likely. It's been only 5 years since, so I don't think that is enough time to find out one way or the other about their recommendation. I took the bait.

    LS ECU

I have no way of knowing one way or the other about any vendors, and I don't live in Texas, but check that company's address, then start looking at reviews from Google Maps. In other words, do lots of research!

LS LB 1300 backhoe stabilizer hoses routing

Greg, I may not have relevant info since I own an LB1100, but my lines are routed (factory) differently. That 270° bend would not be how I would choose to route the lines (the term 'minimum bend radius' comes to mind), but mine do run 180°, although I think possibly not as tightly. I have other...

    XR4150H Engine Failure

TR, Sorry to hear about all your troubles (the entire forum makes me worry every time I look at my low-hour XG3140, but so far so good for me. I'm posting because your issues remind me of non-LS maintenance issues I've had going back to the early '90s with more than one brand of vehicle, but an...

Muhammad, Thanks for your catch. I hit that link yesterday which caused my anti-virus to go nuts, so I'm not sure what's up, but I appreciate your vigilance! John

Yet another backhoe dolly for my MT-125

Thank you for the images. Could you post the link to the caster webpage, please? Larger sizes might work (long shot for me, I think). I know a welder, but those casters are for a hard surface which I do not have (no barn yet). I'm probably going to stick with wood cribbing, but the casters look...

Working toward refund from TMY, hoping to move to LS...question on which HP and any concerns about your MT series

TYM? I searched "tmy tractor" and got returns for TYM. I swap letters when I type (I'm not dislexkik, I sware), so that's what I thought he meant.

Working toward refund from TMY, hoping to move to LS...question on which HP and any concerns about your MT series

Making generalizations is never good, but watching this forum has me worrying about my XG3140 from 2 angles: when are troubles going to start, and how bad will it be when the pollution controls begin to have problems? Mine has about 200 hours on it, so it's practically new and I like it a lot...

How Many Have More Than One Tractor?

subUrban transplant talking: I own an LS XG3140 and a Ventrac mower, neither of which I would sell because I still think my purchase decisions were good. I wish that Ventrac attachments didn't cost so much, just as I wish Toro hadn't chased John Deere out of servicing Ventrac, but big corps. do...

    LS tractors

fwiw, the comments in this thread about dealers & closings, etc., remind me of own mom&pop LS purchase. After delivery, they weren't near as friendly; the promised training about how to connect implements & use them never materialized; etc. I've had better luck asking my city-boy questions of...

    LS scan tool available

Thanks, Boggsley. Please update the thread once you discover more. Hearing about the cost of sensors (I have a 5yo LS 3140XG) has me wondering how long I'll be able to go without a major expenditure - diagnostic tools always appeal.

    Rollover paranoia

I'm grateful to see this discussion about rollover: I'm with those who advocate caution since I have several of the bad markers: relative noob (of the ~150 hours total time on my 5yo LS, maybe 100 is mine); lots of sloped, irregular ground; poor-to-no cell signal; no close neighbors; fairly...
