    Echo String Trimmer purchase advice

    subhunter, I just went through same process. Went to my local ECHO dealer with the intent of purchasing SRM2120 and ended up with the SRM225 . I just take care of my own 2+ acres. The SRM225 is more than adequate. All of the trimmers you are looking at a basically the same.

    2 Strokes are made to run full throttle. Running them slow can cause the arrestor screen to clog.

    plowing a uneven gravel driveway up hill and down really sucks!

    I use a 4" schedule 80 PVC pipe on the bottom of my blade to plow a 300+ ft gravel driveway with a hill and a dip.     Looking to buy new trade old

    Why sell/trade the tractor at all? It may be a little old and dirty but so what, it a good tractor! More than likely a new tractor won't do anything more or better, except cost your money. If trading the tractor in was such a good deal your Dad probably would have done it. But hey, it's your money.

    Removing Oil stains on asphalt driveway

    I've had the same thing happen. Just go over the oil with a yard torch and burn it off. Simple and works every time. Just don't over heat the asphalt !!

    Valve Stems

    Sometimes the valve stem in on the inside because of wheel weights. Some wheel weights spin a little and shear off the valve stem, so some of us mount the wheel with the valve stem on the inside.

    Garden Tractors

    Hard to find a true garden tractor. The JD X7xx series fits the needs but pricey. The Cubs and Husqvarna's are light weight.
