    Ground hornets!

I was surprised at how big their hole was. I am normally a good steward of my property, but I needed these things gone. I needed to finish loading up my trailer and my wife is way too allergic so out came the diesel can. I figured just a little would fill the hole, but it didn’t. Even a couple...

    Ground hornets!

I hooked up my trailer, backed it up to my shop door, and was slowly driving my mower up the loading ramp when - BAM - a hornet nailed my wrist. I smashed it and continued loading the mower. My wife came out and I cautioned her just as she took off running. We went in the house and put baking...

    Makita 18volt battery string review

I have no experience with Mitika, but I do have a Ryobi 40V string trimmer and chain saw. They share two batteries. I really, really like both of them. Great tools. Pole saw is gonna be next purchase.

    Attaching pto implements

I keep the shaft and collar well oiled. Turn the shaft with my hand until they line up, pull the collar back and slide the shaft forward. Boom, Bob’s your uncle. Oil is my friend and my very bestest friend is Lucas gun oil.

    A really good flashlight

The WUBEN E7 is a good looking little light and the price doesn’t break the bank. I also like that you can get an extension tube and use a longer battery. Question: can you clip it to the bill of your cap or must you use the headlight harness thing? I have a rechargeable Milwaukee light that...

    Recommend me a dash cam

I’m looking to buy my daughter a dash cam for Christmas. She has a 30 mile daily commute on a two lane secondary road that most folks go way too fast on. I’m searching for a front and rear looking cam for around $200. Recommendations appreciated.

    Ball hitch adapter

My first set of pallet forks was cheap Chinese junk. It didn’t take me any time at all to trash one fork, but the other fork has a hole for a ball. If I’m moving a trailer for a short distance, or need more maneuverability, I use the fork, otherwise I have a ball on the drawbar.

    Bolt-on hooks & D-rings on a JD compact with a HD bucket?

You can’t go wrong with Ken’s bolt on hooks. It’s the first thing I did to my tractor. Easy enough to install and tough as all get-out.

    Electric pressure washer reviews

I got a Dewalt one for Christmas 2-3 years ago. I can’t compare it to a gas or other electric model since it’s the only one I’ve ever used, but I can say it hasn’t disappointed. It’s worked well, done what I ask it to. I know nothing about gas ones, but I do know my shoulders despise pull starters.

ordered Makita 18 volt band saw!

My bands are 18tpi. I have used them to cut metal, plastic, PVC, and just about everything else. Even wood occasionally. My saw is a corded Milwaukee deep cut that I picked up used a dozen years ago. It usually resides on a stand I made for it, but can go from stationary to portable in about...

Attaching bucket hooks to a Kubota MX5400 with L2236 bucket

When I bought my tractor eight years ago the first thing I did was bolt on a set of Ken’s hooks. I have used and abused them and they haven’t complained a bit. That’s the route I would go.

    Hearing Aid Question...

I think it depends on how bad your hearing loss is. I have had profound hearing loss for 25 years and the only devices that work for me at all are high dollar - about $3,500 each - and my insurance doesn’t pay a dime. My current ones are 7+ years old and starting to fail. I need news one, but...

    small arc welder recommendation

I had a 120V Eastwood that I fried on one of its first tasks which was making a hog trap. I upgraded to a 240V Hobart which had served me well. I know some people have had good experiences with a 120V, but mine was disappointing. If you can swing it at all, I would recommend wiring in 240V...

Check this connection on your tractors!

Thanks. Behind the dash is where they like to chew and make nests. You can’t see them, don’t know they are there until it’s too late. I’ve kept fresh moth balls all around the dash the last couple of years. You gotta keep them fresh, replace them monthly. It seems to be working.

Check this connection on your tractors!

Rats have chewed through one of the wiring harnesses on my 3616 three times. The last time they got into the main harness as well. I currently don’t have hazard or head lights because of it. Good people, good tractors

We had something over 27 inches of rain in about ten days time. The UPS lady told me she got her truck stuck in mud three times. You know what else she told me? “I thank the Lord for good people with tractors. I haven’t had to call a tow truck yet” Yep, sometimes I think the world is...

    Pricing pallet forks

I have a set of 48” Chinese forks, but they didn’t last even a year. Thin metal and weak welds. Wound up going to several dealers within a 100 mile range. I chose a set of US made 42” forks. I am very pleased with them. The Chinese forks are in the scrap metal pile waiting to be repurposed.

    Stupid Things I Have Done

I needed to change a mandrel/spindle on my riding lawn mower. I dropped the mowing deck and turned it up on its edge. I was thinking of putting a 20V Dewalt jumper on my Christmas list, since I already have the batteries, but I’m rethinking that.
