    CK20

Been looking for a year or more. May retire this spring and need a toy to play with. This forum seems to have more knowledge and experience that anywhere else I have found. Three questions I need answered. Will a CK20 pull a subsoiler? If not will a CK27? Has anyone put a grapple on a CK20 or...

    Kioti or Kubota

I have narrowed my search to two models, the Kioti DK20S and the Kubota 2320 HSD. Both appear to be excellent machines but are different answers to the same question. I like the three range hydro on the Kubota but the Kioti seems to be a heavier more substantial machine. Kioti owners, convince...

    Resale value

I am looking to buy a tractor sometime this summer. I started looking used but what I can find in my original price range is not in very good shape. A less than ten year old Kubota, Deere, etc. in good shape seems to bring more than it cost new. My question is, if any of you have sold a Kubota...

    2320, 2620, or 2920

Shopping for a new toy. Is the added power worth the added price and fuel. Tractor will be used with tiller, FEL, and blade. No serious work at this time, just piddling. RSKY

    Least Expensive

I am planning on buying a small tractor next spring. It will have a FEL, tiller, and blade. It must have a hydro or at least a shuttle shift. And it must have the larger tires so the FEL can dump over the side of a 2wd pickup. I only have an acre of ground but plan on using it at my daughters...

    Finally got the pictures downloaded

Okay, I know I'm going to get jumped on because in some of the pictures I am going to show there are people handling downed power lines. In every instance that I saw this happen the lines were broke and the ends were very evident. If they were not obviously broken they were left alone. Even...

    Greetings from h_ll, with pictures

We live in Western Kentucky and finally got power on Saturday after twelve days without. Some of my relatives are being told that they will be reconnected, hopefully, in a couple of weeks. We have made it without too much trouble but this area will take years to recover. All the trees are...

    Concrete floor

I have a shop with a concrete floor. When I had it built the floor is too low in relation to the ground outside and it sometimes gets water under the doors. Is it possible to pour another floor on top of the existing concrete to raise it about an inch? Or would this be too many problems for...

    Laser Grips for home defense

I am looking at several handguns for home defense. I work a night shift and leave home at 5pm, drive forty miles, work a thirteen hour shift, and return home about 8am the next morning. So I am looking at a simple double action revolver to keep in the house for my wife. She said she didn't want...

    Painting paneling

Does anybody have any hints on how to paint paneling without having a disaster? We are starting this project in a few weeks and it scares me to think about the problems we could have. Latex or oil based paint? What kind of primer? Sand before priming? Any hints would be appreciated. I have...

    Sidewalk & Driveway Edger

I need an edger to go down my sidewalks and driveways. The walks are concrete and the driveway asphalt. It will also be used to dig small trenches to bury wire etc. It will not be used commercially. I have looked at the stick edgers, Briggs powered edgers, and the electric ones. Does anybody...

I need to cut a kitchen counter top.

While temporarily out of a job I am reworking my mother's kitchen. I have installed new flooring and now we are ready to install new counter tops on the cabinets. We bought the formica tops at a salvage store and I need to trim 7" off a twelve foot long counter. Has anyone done this before? What...

    Deer jumping car

My wife and I were returning home last night from a shopping trip. We were doing about 65mph on a divided highway through an area with homes and farmland. I was slowly gaining on a white Cadillac and had (luckily) changed lanes to pass when the Caddy started swerving and a deer sailed over the...

    Important information

If you have a pocket knife that you are fond of NEVER use it to cut open a tube of Gorilla Glue unless you clean the blade before putting it back in your pocket. Embarressing.

    Snapper Comet Clutch

I need to lower the drive plate on a Snapper Comet lawnmower. This is the plate attacher to the motor shaft that the rubber edged drive 'clutch' acts against. It is rusted on and I am afraid too much force will damage it. Any suggestions?

    Where did the well go?

This happened years ago but I thought you might find it interesting. When I was a kid we got our water from a well. This was one of the old types dug with a big dumping auger and lined with concrete tiles about a yard in diameter. The top tile and a half stuck up about four feet above ground...

I think I need an edger.

I am looking at edgers to use on my sidewalks, driveways, and flower bed boundaries. I have looked at the B&D electric for $90. Weedeater 2/stroke gas for $129. Craftsman and others powered with lawnmower motors for $199 to $299. And a Husky stick edger on sale for $199. Boundaries for the beds...

This may have been posted before, if so I apologize for reposting. This site has some of the best video about the military. I recommend watching the MAGIC F18 RIDE first. Turn the volumne way, way up. Then watch DIVINE INTERVENTION about the SeeBees. http://www.grouchymedia.com/other_videos.cfm

Common problem with zero turn mower

Anybody else have trouble getting your ZTR away from your wife so you can mow. Mine did not want me to get one of those 'funny things without a steering wheel'. But I have mowed only four times this year. Mowing time is down from two and a half hours to about an hour. And last year as long as...

    Tillers ????????

I am in the process of buying a tiller. It will be for occasional use only so I don't want to spend more than $500 to $700. Now the field is narrowed down to two brands, Troy Bilt or one of the American Yard Products clones (Craftsman, Husky, Poulan, etc.). I am more concerned with reliability...

    Gravely ZTR

Does anyone have the Gravely homeowner ZTR mower. Have a chance to get a new one for a reasonable price, so it seems. There are few of this brand sold in this area so I have little information on them. The two I am looking at are the 1740 and the 1944. Any info would be appreciated.

I burned my storage building today

Well, I burned my storage building today….Didn’t mean to, but I did. Nobodies fault but mine. I was taking care of the leaves in the front yard.
